to nanoc
Hello,

I have been using hugo and academic theme for my personal web site, but thinking about switching to hugo. I am not a web developer, I use ruby for my personal small admin tasks or for replacement of shell programming.

I plan to switch to nanoc for several reason.

1. I do not want to learn go, which I personally  dislike its syntax, and I often forced to know about go to use hugo effectively.
2. I know ruby so I think that I can tackle some if I encounter similar problems
3. I use asciidoctor instead of markdown, and asciidoctor is in ruby ecosystem so I can use it more effectively.
4. nanoc seems actively developped or supported.

My questions.

Is there a theme/template  that I can use similar to academic theme in hugo which I can use without designing the full scale web site.

Do you have any advice regarding for conversion.

Thanks.

Hey there,

Is there a theme/template  that I can use similar to academic theme in hugo which I can use without designing the full scale web site.

Unfortunately, Nanoc doesn’t come with readymade templates.

Your best bet would be to take the Academic template for Hugo and adjust it to work with Nanoc.

Best,
