As part of the 2009 In The City music event in Manchester, two
Japanese bands will be playing:
- Asakusa Jinta : describing themselves as a 'hard marching band' and
named after the district of Tokyo they come from, this six piece play
a mixture of rockabilly, country, punk, enka and kayoukyoku.
- Bo Ningen : a London-based four piece psychedelic noise-rock band.
The bands are playing on the following days:
- Sunday 18 October 2009 at Studio, 23 Peter Street : Asakusa Jinta -
band on stage at 7:30pm.
- Tuesday 20 October 2009 at The Hatters Hostel, 50 Newton Street :
Asakusa Jinta and Bo Ningen - 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Both gigs are open to In The City delegates and ITC Live wristband
holders (GBP 20.00 plus booking fee). However, NanimeW is awaiting
confirmation of the possibility for non-wristband holders to attend
the gig on Tuesday 20 October 2009 -- details to follow.
