Manchester Art Gallery presents an exhibition of East Asian craft &
design entitled Eastern Exchanges from 2 April to 31 May 2015.
The exhibition presents objects of craft & design from Japan, China and Korea from the past 1,500 years, including ceramics, metalwork, furniture, lacquer, textiles and sculpture.
There will also be the following related events taking place during the exhibition's run:
- 2 April 2015, 6:30pm : Japanese craft & design talk by two artists featured in the exhibition about their work
- 16 April 2015, 12:00pm & 2:00pm : Curator-led tour of the exhibition
- 23 April 2015, 10:30am : Curator-led tour of the exhibition with audio description
- 21 May 2015, 6:30pm : Japanese metalwork talk
