Solaris with SVM, Linux with LVM with System Administration and Support

Solaris/Sun Hardware break/fix

Linux/HP-IBM Blade Servers break/fix

Unix Network Troubleshooting – Solaris/Linux

Performance Troubleshooting for Systems – Solaris/Linux

File Systems: NFS/NIS/AutoFS

Working Knowledge of SAN, storage networking to integrate to Platforms

ITIL process knowledge – Incident, problem, change

Escalation and Call Logging for SUN Support

Knowledge of HP & IBM Tools for Linux

Ability to drive proactive reduction of faults volume using root cause analysis
Ability to work in Global Environment with remote access to servers for support and implementation
Ability to communicate well globally for project coordination deliverables
Ability to work in a very dynamic environment and tight timescales




Desired:



Storage – Knowledge of NetApp SAN/NAS/Filer, EMC PowerPath

NetBackup

Veritas Cluster VCS and Volume Manager (VXVM)

Sun Cluster Knowledge

Virtualisation Knowledge

Kerberos and Ldap knowledge

ITIL Foundation Knowledge & Certification – Incident, Problem, Change Management

SysAdmin Certifications for Solaris and Linux are preferred
