If you get the Idaho Press-Tribune you will have noticed that NCA was
in the paper today with an article about our property. We are
appreciative any time we get positive press. However, I would like to
clarify a few items.
Our total numbers when all children are registered will be 560 and not
520.
The article may have made it sound like we wouldn't begin building
until August. Ground breaking will happen this summer and the
portables will be installed and ready by the start of August.
Construction on the grammar building will most likely begin at the
same time.
Tonight the land we plan to build on will be brought before the Nampa
City council. This is the 2nd step out of 3. The previous owner had
plans on file with the city to build a subdivision. Our developer is
in the process of having those plans changed from a subdivision to a
school. The developer has been in frequent contact with the city and
there are no current road blocks. Our first step was to get approval
with the P&Z which we have, now it goes before the city where they
will put it on their dockets for final approval after is has gone
through their approval process.
We have planned for this process and we are on schedule. We are able
to finalize many other building items while this part continues to be
approved. Our developer has been meeting frequently with the city
building department and our plans meet their requirements.
The city is well aware of our academy and will do what they can to
assist us with our building. Our developer has taken great pains to
build a good working relationship with the city.
As you will have noticed the city council meeting is the same time as
our board meeting. There should be nothing to discuss concerning our
property but if you would rather attend that meeting I have entered
the information on our academy calendar.
