While we know that men and boys are not a monolith, US voting data suggests that in nearly every category–rural, suburban, urban; immigrant and citizen; white, Latino, black, Native American; low, middle and upper-income–more men and boys voted for Donald Trump this cycle than in 2020. 

So how do we explain this turn of events? And what does this mean for ongoing efforts to engage men on gender equality–and fundamental human rights more generally–over the next four years, at home and abroad?
