I'm running Windows Vista. My ISP is Frontier FIOS.

When I run namebench, the report says that 192.168.1.1 is the current
preferred DNS server. Is that normal? In the control panel, I have
208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 as the preferred and alternate DNS
servers.

The report says that 208.67.220.220 is 136% faster than your current
primary DNS server. I know that 192.168.1.1 is my router, but I don't
know if it is normal for it to show as my primary DNS server in the
nameserver test. I looked at the FAQs and it was not mentioned. I
would have thought it would have been mentioned if it was normal. I
also looked at the screenshots in the namebench project pages and I
don't see 192.168.1.1 showing up, so I am wondering if there is
something wrong with my configuration.

Same problem here.
Override 192.168.1.1 with 8.8.4.4, used to get the result right but recently it shows the router IP to be my preferred DNS.
Now I am quite confused whether there is some mal-ware hacking my DNS.

192.168.1.1 - 192.168.l.l is not a dns server, it is local private network.
