Before you send or bring your phone for repairs, back up your phone and remove the SIM card. For eligible Pixel phones, you may enter Repair Mode. Otherwise, factory reset your phone. A factory reset deletes all data saved on your phone. If you can't factory reset your phone, log out of your Google Account on the phone:

In the digital realm, a vibrant display is the window to all interactions. However, there may be instances where certain pixels get stuck, causing a diminution in display quality. Stuck pixels are different from dead pixels, as the former can be fixed. Rizonesoft Pixel Repair aids in diagnosing and rectifying stuck pixels on LCD and OLED screens.
Every LCD screen is a mosaic of pixels, each either illuminating or refracting light to generate the images you see. A common hiccup faced by many is the occurrence of stuck pixels, where a pixel gets frozen on a specific color. Unlike dead pixels, which are black and beyond repair, stuck pixels have a chance at revival, and tools like Rizonesoft Pixel Repair come into play here.
If you have observed the presence of frozen pixels or screen burn-in on your smartphone, tablet, or smart TV screen, we recommend utilizing the Pixel Repair video. This video is specifically designed to address and rectify stuck pixels and screen burn-in issues by employing sophisticated, color-altering sequences that aim to stimulate and repair malfunctioning pixels over a duration of 12 hours.
In a world where the quality of display is often synonymous with the quality of interaction, having tools like Rizonesoft Pixel Repair is a boon. It is a user-centric, efficient tool aimed at alleviating common but vexing issues like stuck pixels. While it might not perform miracles by reviving dead pixels, its proficiency in handling stuck pixels makes it a quintessential tool for maintaining the vibrancy and clarity of your display, ensuring an unmarred digital interaction experience.
These calibrations can be forced by pressing the power button in the Trail models. If my screen ever gets hazy or I notice something not sharp in the viewfinder I simply calibrate the scope. With all that said, the first thing to do if you notice a defective pixel is to force a calibration because generally that will fix it.
Just move the X & Y coordinates until you are right on top of the defective pixel. As you update the values for the X & Y coordinates the pixel selector will move across the screen as shown below. The pixel selector surrounded by the box is like the Picture-In-Picture feature and is a magnified (zoomed in) version of the pixel selector.
If there's anything wrong with just the screen assembly, it's the same price. Doesn't matter if it's completely destroyed of there are just dead pixels. The only repair Apple does for anything in the front screen assembly is replacement at a set price.
I have similar issues with calibrating my pixel 6 and new screen/fingerprint reader. In rescue mode (not fastboot) the phone is recognized / selectable from the pop up. After that it will communicate with the phone and complains about software incompatibility.
I spend a 45 min chatting to a Google service employee but after countless unnecessary question the only answer was: "You could bring it to a pixel 6 service point near you". Right... living in Amsterdam that is Koln - Germany. I've been there already the first time my screen broke. That's an 7hr roundtrip.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: I had the same issue where it was not recognizing my device in fast boot mode. The mistake I made was I was trying to update the usb driver when the phone was on. Then, I tried updating/downloading the driver when the device was in fast boot mode. This ended up working and it was able to recognize my device, update the software, and calibrate/fix my fingerprint reader. Hopefully this helps!!
Hi, there may be an update between Android and Windows merge for software compatibility. Varying on OS and software's version, USB debugging might be an issue for web calibration. Try to attempt to use the web calibration in desktop mode. Sorry for the late reply.
Hi,
I see that this post is from December 2021 but still just to ask, are there any news about it?
I replaced my display on Pixel 6, went to but it cannot locate my device when I am in Fastboot mode.
From what I understand with Android 13 the repair tool stoped working. My repair guy was able to get a new screen that did not have the finger print sensor built in, then he swapped the finger print sensor from the old screen to the new one, and bam it worked!
The first one he gave me had a new fingerprint sensor, I tried everything even loading on the oldest version of Android the Pixel 7 Pro would take and trying the repair tool, and it did not work. Spend hours following different guides, nothing worked. So just bring it back to your repair guy and tell him he will need to move the sensor from the old screen to the new one.
I don't know about the pixel 7 but just did the installation of a new screen with fingerprint sensor on my pixel 6 pro and it works fine. You need to update the usb driver and then just follow the different steps. Don't forget to reboot your phone after.
I had similar issue but please follow the correct method. Avoid using directly downloading from your phone use pc and use original cable came along with google pixel if gets issue possibly change the data cable or still problem then check on different pc. PC or Laptop needs to be running on updated software.
while replacing the screen i tested the fingerprint reader and it worked. however, it stopped after about an hour. tried the steps to recalibrate the finger print reader but got the same error. after a couple of restarts (google play system updates) the fingerprint sensor started working again.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: I had the same issue that a lot of people have been having where it was not recognizing my device in fast boot mode. The mistake I made was I was trying to update the usb driver when the phone was on. Then, I tried updating/downloading the driver when the device was in fast boot mode. This ended up working and it was able to recognize my device, update the software, and calibrate/fix my fingerprint reader. Hopefully this helps!!
I would think Speedy Cables would be able to repair this. I think they are in the same building as the original manufacturer of your instrument. Caerbont don't seem to offer a repair service themselves
I have a speedo that was given to me and if it suits I can send to you. It was given to me by a guy who found it and lots of other bits when Caterham left their original site in a rush - he gave all of them to a local Caterham owner but missed this. Looks identical to yours and attached photo shows the back. No idea if it works and no charge if you want to take a punt on it, just postage.
I had same issue. Shipped unit to Caerbont who took one look and said they don't fix these ones and sent it back. Works OK when starting up and cold, but pixels fail when warm. Only option is new unit, but pricey and hard to get. You lucked out with getting a freebie!
