If you're #teamblackberry and you have #iphoneenvy then this is likely the phone for you. However, there's no compelling reason to switch if you already have a smart phone. If you're in the market for your first smart phone, I'd consider one of the top three phones, as I just don't see Blackberry winning. Still, it's an impressive first outing.

Mallick continued, "When people get BB10 devices, they're going to be looking for certain apps... We have Skype committed to BB10, Amazon Kindle, Whatsapp, SAP, Angry Birds... over 1,000 of top applications from around the world committed to BB10."

For example, one app made by S4BB is a "camera scanner" that converts photos to PDF files. Another turns off the sounds in your camera app. There are also hundreds of world factbooks, subway maps and city guides.
BlackBerry can produce all of the nicest phones in the world if it wants, but the low standards it has for the apps in its app store, and the seemingly minimal effort it has put into trying to improve it, ultimately contributed to the once-venerable company's demise.
\"We expect tomorrow to really be the kickoff for the introduction of Blackberry 10,\" RIM's Chief Marketing Officer Frank Boulben told ABC News in a phone interview. \"We have been engaged for quite a period of time with the two main constituents -- the carriers and the developers -- and we've already said we are in the labs of more than 150 carriers around the world.\"
With more than 150 wireless carriers around the world planning to offer the latest BlackBerry, Boulben says it will be the most \"comprehensive launch,\" not only for the company, but in the history of the mobile industry.
The trailer begins with the pair of co-founders screeching into a parking lot in 1996, late for a meeting with investor Jim Balsillie, who would eventually agree to join the company with the money and business know-how needed to sell their invention to the world.
"BlackBerry 10 builds upon the core values and exceptional user experiences that have attracted more than 77 million BlackBerry customers around the world today," said RIM vice president of developer relations Alec Saunders.
