Carpe Diem details we discussed today (IMP)

Things to be done

1. Bands- Navomi and i are handling this, by this weekend we will make a survey monkey thing of the best four bands taking into account cost and availability and send it to all the batches for public opinion

2. DJ and lights- Priyank is handling this, should be done by the end of next week. Juhi and Divya vegunta will help with this.

3. Glow Lanterns- Priyank and Aarant will handle this. The details as to where we get them and cost should be done by the end of next week, and we should have the details ready enough to be ready to order them. Aarant speak to Priyank about this

4. Sound system- I will handle this, and aim to have it done by this weekend.

5. Stage- Ramya will handle this, Paaras will help with this. This should be sorted out by the end of next week. Ramya will also buy the 5 bedsheets for the banner/poster making thingy

6. I will send out a list of events with a call for volunteers to sign up for organising events tonight.

This is preliminary. Once we accomplish the tasks we set out today we will have to meet again and delineate who does what during the actual carpe diem. There's a lot to be done and lots more to be done during the fest itself. So lets get enthused about it  :)

Also Tie Dye will be this friday. Any of you who want to help with any of the above 5 tasks and whose name I have not assigned to the same may also help with any of them.

For the tie dye i still think we should have it on one of the carpe diem days cause i spoke to my batch mates they said they wanted it to happen on carpe diem not tomorrow most of them won't be here. But if others will turn up tomorrow then we can have it as planned.

some people are really waiting for it. What we can do is use half the dye first and see if there is enough of a crowd to mix the other half. If not we can save that for carpe diem
