Rs.15 crores for upgrading
infrastructure in all govt. ISM colleges.
Rs.10 crores for developing human
resource & infrastructure, national accreditation status for Anna hospital,
arumbakkam, chennai
Exclusive R&D division for
AYUSH stream, for quality control of medicine & publishing in international
medical research journals.
“Lifestyle clinics”(Using yoga & naturopathy
methods for treatment of non-communicable diseases)to be started in all
government hospitals at cost of Rs.9 crore& 60 lakhs.

Ayurveda & Unani doctors in Govt service
to be sponsored by govt to pursue PG at other states.

leaves (Murraya koenigii)as primary care for treatment of anemia.
Other significant announcements:
Linkage of all 18 govt college hospitals with a CENTRAL
SERVER at Chennai for Medical information management & hospital
management system .
The year 2013-14 is announced as “year
for prevention of non-communicable diseases”
Community based pain & palliative
care centers to be started in all districts.
Ban on the manufacture, storage and
sale of the carcinogenic chewable forms of tobacco:The ban will be now implemented under the provisions of the Food
Safety and Standards Act, which specifically states that no food product
should contain tobacco and nicotine as ingredients. With this, 30 States in the
country have officially banned the cancer-causing substance.
Molecular virology labs to be set at four of Govt. medical
college hospitals.

really it is a welcome step,
on the part of tn government. there are also additional vacancies being opened up for ayurvedic doctors in e.s.i hospitals. hope the trend goes on, and gives concrete benefit to ayurvedic fraternity aswell as public.
