Is the JVP-led NPP govt. weaponizing the law to target Wickremesinghe? https://groups.google.com/g/nakkeeran1933It is preposterous to claim that the government should have consulted the Attorney General regarding whether the Wickremesinghe trip is official or private. Does anyone need a mirror to look at the wound in the hand? Hundreds, if not thousands, of public servants have been disciplined for claiming their private visits are public. In Wickremesinghe's case documents clearly showed that the travel was private. It was circled in blue ink. Later, it was claimed it was a visit and finally an official visit. It is obvious that the documents were doctored. DBSJ is holding a brief for Wickremasinghe for some unknown reason. After claiming from the rooftop that the law should be applied to all equally, now he is singing a different tune! Let the court decide who is guilty or innocent.
