Thisfree text manipulation tool is useful for webmasters to remove repeating keywords and phrases from meta tag strings, text and to reorder a sequence of words in an alphabetic or reverse alphabetic order.

To use this tool, copy and paste your keywords text string with repeating words or duplicate keywords to be reordered into the upper text input window. Click one of the function buttons to remove repeating or duplicate words from the text. To remove a next batch of repeating words, click on the [Clear] button first, then paste the text content with repeating words that you would like to process.

Follow three simple steps to remove duplicates from your sheet: select your table and key columns, decide if you want to find duplicate or unique entries, and choose what to do with the results. Once you click Finish, the add-in will process your data in seconds.

Hey Hey!! I wanted to see if there was any sort of automation that you guy know of that will not allow a duplicate lead to create a new item on a board. For example. I have Zapier tell my calling system CallRail to push new leads into Monday. If a lead calls with the same phone number and that number is pushed into the PHONE column is there a way that the system will recognize that and not create a duplicate lead?

Hello everyone,

This is Alfred from Kolaai. We just released an app recently which addresses the issues listed here.

Here is a demo video showing a fraction of the capabilities of the app. In fact, @LHebard, your exact request can be seen in the demo

I need this feature, too. When I import from a third party software to Monday, I need Monday to search and find an item based on the email (in case same email exists). And if it finds it, then do nothing. If it does not find it, then create an item.

Hello @patricia.ousley @biye_byte @olyroad,

Whether that item exists in the current board or in a different board, you can use the Duplicates and Uniques app to check for that.

Here is an example of checking for duplicates on other boards.

If you have any questions, you can always reach out at sup...@kolaai.com

We sincerely apologise for the delay in updating this thread. We want to assure you that we see all your feedback, and are working on a process to attend to all feature requests in a more prompt manner.

Is a manage duplicate function available yet? i think its quite an essential part of managing a project, especially when incorporating automations that move said project across different boards and it duplicating itself.

Depending on your needs you can then adjust the Aggregation settings to e.g. get the number of duplicate rows that have been removed, this requires an additional column (created with the Constant Value

Column node which is used in the aggregation:

you would still end up with 3 distinct cases and you would call/mail the customer three times, and what if your data is 99% unique after the ID but there are a few lines you are missing and would not see in a sample or by just looking at them.

You can always just use the ID as grouping value and use aggregation on the other values, so in your example, where you might need some special handling of the address column you could choose the Set aggregation method, so you can handle those rows in a dedicated Address deduplication branch of your workflow.

Question in my example would be: I want to preserve the whole set of features (phone, address) from the one ID I choose so not to mix them. First and Last would do that and Set or List would give me all there is in one line (great functions, thank you for reminding me) but I would have less control about which line to choose. In my scenario it could be necessary to choose the latest address with the longest street name or something. But again: it depends on the use case. I just would encourage people to take into account everything there is to their data and then make a deliberate decision what should happen to the data.

I usually use RowID (with ensure uniqueness and at the same time extracting the rowid as a column), followed by a string manipulation node (searching for the # and appending a boolean column) to identify duplicates.

@serendipitytech I can add one more idea to remove duplicates and ensure unique IDs using SQL (Hive in this case) and row_number() if you have to deal with a data base - or you just like using SQL script.

Do the duplicates also exist on your hard drive? If not, then you should be able to clear the WMP library and have it re-scan your music folder(s) again. If the duplicates are on your hard drive, then you have to find them and move them and then have WMP re-scan.

You guys are way over my head. I just want a program to do it for me. Yes most of them are two formats mp3 or m4a. Some are 3 to 5 versions. Some are same songs on different albums. I am trying media monkey right now.

Why not try Duplicate Files Deleter. It will do a thorough search of your hard disk and find out the two or more duplicate files of the same file which may be stored at different locations. This will give you a comprehensive list of all those files and you can decide for yourself what you want to do with them.

I have a record that consists of 10 attributes/columns. I want to remove duplicate from the record. The duplicate would be based on the value of 5 attributes. When I say duplicate, it means that reduce the number of duplicate records to 1. I read the existing thread on the forum where someone recommended to use Matcher. However, Matcher categorizes the record into duplicate and non-duplicate. I don't want categorization. I want to reduce the duplicate records to 1 record. I also tried to use ListDuplicateremover, the problem in that was it only showed the name of one attribute. Any suggestion

If the situation is removing duplicate records (ie. Multiple features with the same attribute values) then DuplicateFilter removes the duplicates and outputs the first unique record/feature on the Unique port with no duplicates.

The data is roads and parking areas for mine site. Im interested in creating clean surfaces from the points extracted from the roads and parking. The roads need to show the rise and falls so accuracy important.

Id like rhino to delete duplicate point but Seldup or SeldupAll is not removing all the duplicates and I dont know any other way to remove so I can create a clean mesh of the roads. At the moment the mesh generated is terrible as it create self intersections and Rhino cant clean this up only reports on the errors.

i got this old python script, it is not super fast but if you only have a few thousand points to cull its ok. Just pre-select your points, start the script and enter the minimum allowed distance between points (tolerance).

another way which i just have found out if its interesting, rhino seems to have some sort of tolerance towards how exact duplicates are being selected. even objects which are not 100% on top of each other and i know that changing the absolute tolerance can sometimes have positives effects on if something works or not, unfortunately i could not get that working, what i could get working though is when you shrink all objects down about a magnitude it magically finds duplicates again, after that you just resize it back to its initial state.

There is a command called MeshFromPoints that you should give a try.

For some silly reason it is not included in Rhino by default and has to be downloaded manually and then you have to replace the file on your computer with this one:

Hi @Phil3, yes it was written in Win7 X64. To run it, there are various ways. The simplest is to save the script somewhere on your harddrive then create a dedicated new toolbar button in Rhino using this text in the button command field:

Before creating a _MeshPatch from your duplicate points, i would suggest to reduce them using the script. 27000 points should take 2-3 seconds depending on your system speed. Btw. you might as well just try the _Patch command to fit a Nurbs surface to the points.

I have multiple fields (10+ fields) with duplicate values in the cell. How would you solve? Is there a better way than copying/pasting ShankerV's solution multiple times on the canvas? Thanks in advance!

I wrote a script to recursively scan target directories for duplicates of files in a reference directory, with the option to move duplicates to a backup directory. I thought it might be useful for others so I have cleaned it up and added several options (e.g. optional reference directory, regular expression file filters, automatically keep the oldest, newest or alphabetically first file, multiple target dirs, shallow file comparisons).

Check the project page for details and usage examples. rmdupes is written in Python but it uses the filecmp library for comparisons so it's relatively fast. The library compares files by content (not by hash), so there should never be any false positives (unless you use the --shallow option), and it avoid reading entire files pre-emptively to hash them.

I don't know what could be causing the first error. Are you using any other options (e.g. backup directory when it occurs? What is in the directories that it's scanning? If you can find a way to create a minimal working example then I can debug it.

Just for information, before you did the upgrade, it seems that the file's concerned with endless loop were slightly differents version of the same picture. For example, a modified (color) picture of original dwm.png (with pinta or gimp), when both original and modified were present. I still got an strace log, but it may not be pertinent anymore.

The selection dialogue error should be fixed. If the other error persists, please post the tracelog. I would be surprised if the loop was due to similarity between similar images: on a binary level, they are likely completely different, and even if there were almost identical, the filecmp.cmp algorithm would have to be really bad to end up in a loop when comparing them.
