Kenya Visit by the German Open Source Business Alliance

Dear Colleagues,

I hope this email finds you in good health. The German Open Source Business Alliance (OSBA) is sending a delegation of open source technology leaders to Kenya for a visit during the Gitex conference taking place in Nairobi next week. As part of their itinerary, they will have various sessions and visits with select Kenyan open source companies starting on Wednesday 20th May to Friday 22nd May.

The objective of this engagement is to explore collaboration opportunities with local open source software companies for mutual benefit. This engagement is being arranged by the Kenya OSPO in partnership with the Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) at the GIZ Kenya office

Please find attached a brief on some of the companies that will be in the delegation.

The objective of this email is therefore to invite you to attend the sessions outlined below so that you can represent your company and establish connections with these German companies

As part of the planned Itinerary, I would like to invite you all to this particular event happening on Friday, 22nd May from 3:00 pm.

1. Friday 22nd May - Venue: GIZ Offices, Eden Square, Westlands, 2nd floor
1. 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm: OSBA meeting with Kenyan companies participating in the OSPO trainings under the OSEE project as well as other open source community actors. All are welcome to attend

I look forward to seeing you all as we engage with this delegation. There are great opportunities to establish working relationships with these companies that can help to grow our businesses, even as we work towards building our Kenyan Sovereign Digital Open Source Stack (KenStack).

in attending the session on Friday.

Could you kindly confirm our attendance and let us know if there's anything else we need to do on our end?

This event is still on. The OSBA delegation is sissy in the country and yesterday we had a very good networking session. 

This morning we have a session at the ongoing Gitex and your invited to attend. Gitex is in full force and you should not miss this great event. 

I look forward to seeing you all even tomorrow, and hopefully today as well at Gitex and at Kofisi Riverside Drive 11th floor where GIZ is hosting the DPI and open source communities of practice workshop all day. My session here is at 4pm
