Notes for setup of MPD and Snapcast below:

https://github.com/nairobilug/nairobilug.or.ke/pull/230

This is very similar to the setup that was demonstrated at the last
meetup. Reviews would be welcome. Useful additions would include:

- Information on running on other GNU/Linux distributions or on Android
- Use of other clients
- Security hardening
- Information on using microphone input from a phone or computer to
create a local broadcasting system

An interesting client from Vietnam:
https://github.com/htkhiem/euphonica

The snapcast client is also available on FDroid:
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.badaix.snapcast/
and is an alternative to M.A.L.P.

Thanks to those who attended the presentation and gave feedback.

Does anyone have an image of the statue of Mekatilili wa Menza, am
informed there is a statue in Kilifi and also at Uhuru Gardens. Uhuru
Gardens is closed a present and I cannot find a picture of one of these
statues online with a license that allows for reuse. The picture would
be helpful to add to the presentation slides on "Uhuru, Uhuru, Uhuru, Uhuru"

Thanks for the image. What license is it available under?
Is it something that can be uploaded to Wikimedia commons such as:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Statue_of_Dedan_Kimathi_Nairobi,_Kenya.jpg

Sadly it is copyrighted. I got it from toursbylocals.com .

Here are other images. I'm not sure of their licensing

I'm not sure what licence it uses. I got the image from toursbylocals.com
Here are some images that you could look into.
- https://wanderlog.com/place/details/11424328/mekatilili-wa-menza . This isn't quite clear on terms of use and it only mentions the DMCA. https://wanderlog.com/place/details/11424328/mekatilili-wa-menza

IIRC there is one in Malindi Town (Mekatilili
Garden). Next time I'm around, I can try taking
one :)
