JNY or Joromi like late Hon Sir V.Uwaifor will sing
GMB history of incompetent Governance will include appointment of Gen Buratai who was known to be a corrupt officer and continue to be corrupt and dishonest as a Service Chief.
He lied about degrading BH that now has a faction with ISWAP who are still in control of many areas Lake Chad area.
When GEJ handed over, the South African Mercenaries degraded BH without all these expensive and Sophisticated weapon platforms that we cannot maintain with irrelevant organidation for Counterintelligence and Counter Insurgency.
GMB covered up Gen Buratai who is now working hard to be a Minister or NSA to BAT.
On the IGP , he has not improved Public Safety while corrupt practices of the police
continue and refused reforms indispensable for better policing and crime reduction.
He is not for Community Policing
These two men have cases to answer for lack of safety in our country with Trillions over the last 8 years.
GMB has proven to be incompetent without Idiagbon and Kari and he survived both of them.iw

NEBU,
I read your next-level CRAPOLA below, and I found it necessary to let you know that you don't know as much as you think you know.

Regarding IGP ALKALI BABA extended SERVICE .... PLEASE DON'T BLAME PRESIDENT BUHARI.
He did what he needed to do to ensure the smooth running of his terms in office as president.

President Muhammadu Buhari so much trusted General TUKUR BURATAI (rtd), He extended his term in office by a year or two, regardless of what the constitution may say regarding the length of term in service.
He kept a military general who he trusted can control all other military officers in the armed forces, a general that can avert any probable military coup, as well as kick your terrorist brother, Nnamdi Kanu's ass by making every stupid Iyanminrin Igbo dance with the python .... That General Buratai did an excellent job.
Since Gen. Buratai kicked ass at Afara-Ukwu, we haven't seen the lawlessness of you IPOB fools waving the outlawed Biafra flag publicly, disturbing peace again and again .... WHO WANNA DIE?

Also,
President Muhammadu Buhari trusted IGP Alkali Baba so much, he retained him longer than the length of his term as IGP .... Didn't you notice that SENSELESS PUBLIC PROTESTS are no more an everyday event in Nigeria?
IGP Alkali Baba's police force didn't use police KONDO to control stupidity, WARNING SHOTS are no more fired by his boys, and they didn't believe in RUBBER BULLETS either .... Didn't you notice how ELECTION BALLOT BOXES SNATCHERS were silenced during the past election?
When was the last time you saw Omoyele Sowore or Dino Melaye stupidly run their mouths publicly as they used to do?

WE ARE AFRICANS.
You need to STOP expecting our governments to be run parallel to the Americans or the British.
Who dares questions Vladimir Putin of Russia whenever he shuts down hooliganism in Russia. All Nnamdi Kanus, Sowores, and Dino Melayes of Russia are well-kept in locations where GPS can't locate.

Remember, (as Afis reminded us), BILL CLINTON borrowed from the African governments' style of governance when he wiped out WACO, Texas. Clinton did WORSE than what Obasanjo did at Fela's African Shrine in the 1970s, and nobody dares asked Clinton questions.

Expect the incoming president BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR,  to appoint an IGP who he can trust to control lawlessness and senselessness, as well as appoint military service chiefs he can rely on. I won't blame him if he appoints guys from his Iragbiji hometown .... Don't forget the number of SAN lawyers around him who can re-interpret whatever the constitution may say regarding public appointments.

I am sure, had you been elected the president, you would make such appointments, ALL OF THEM WILL BE IGBOS.

Nebu,
You are such a BANTU, only God can redeem your Iyanminrin Igbo ass.

....Jorom.

Afis,
That you don't know how to connect A to B doesn't mean others mustn't know so too. Ọkala's point was expressing confidence in the judiciary for being capable of remedying the injustice of the election since it has been able to remedy an unjust appointment. I commended the court for living up to Ọkala's hopes but expressed pessimism over a similar expectation with respect to the electoral matters that Ọkala hopes it would also remedy. How is that jumping from IGP's tenure/retirement to Tinubu's matter? So you did not understand that Ọkala's main point was not the IGP's tenure/retirement, rather the the court's remedying of an unjust appointment/retention of an appointee who should have retired in March, a judgment that rekindled his confidence in the same judiciary being able to reverse INEC's rigging?

Afis, you need to go to Orlando community college for a refresher course in reading comprehension or take some online classes in Logic/Philosophy -- if you would understand what you read. Igbo is always constant on your head and it stops your brain from understanding anything relevant to Igbo.

Excellent decision! I knew that the court would so rule if it followed the law because retirement age, that is enshrined in the Constitution, takes precedence over the tenure law of the IGP's. Besides, the law on tenure does not cover any IGP who could be 60 years of before he/she sits on the post for 4 years, those who allowed this man or woman (he looks more like a woman than a man) obviously flouted the Constitution. President Buhari got away with unconstitutionally retaining Buratai and other Service Chiefs for multiple years after they should have retired but I am gad that someone sued and had this foolishness stopped.

Four-year tenure for IGP applies to IGPs who wouldn't reach retirement age within fours years from when appointed, period. It was criminal to have used that new law to circumvent the constitutional requirement of police officers to retire at age 60 or after 35 years in office. This brilliant decision notwithstanding, I do not believe that the election tribunals and the courts would vacate Tinubu's selection as president -- Nigeria is not that sophisticated. If you want to defeat a heavyweight boxing champion, knock him out because anything can happen if it goes to the judges. Not stopping Tinubu on February 25th means APC would be in for the next 4 years at least -- I have no confidence in the judiciary over this election.

Kayode Adebayo,
An illegitimate IGP appointed by Buhari has just been given the boot as Buhari retires from the office tomorrow. Don't you see that as the readiness of Judiciary to rid the Augean stables?

Incase you didn't read it, below is the Breaking News:

Court Sacks IGP Alkali Baba

 May 27, 2023
Usman Alkali
Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.

May 27, (THEWILL) – A Federal High Court, presided over by Justice Fatun Riman, has declared the appointment and continued stay in office of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, as illegal and unconstitutional.

Justice Riman ordered IGP Baba to stop parading himself as Nigeria’s Inspector General and directed President Muhammadu Buhari to convene a meeting of the Nigeria Police Council to appoint a new IGP.

The order followed, a suit marked FHC/AKW/CS/58/2023, and filed by Okechukwu Nwafor.

The Plaintiff had dragged President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Usman Alkali Baba, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice and Nigeria Police Council before the court, seeking an order to stop the IGP from further occupying office as his tenure has expired.

However, Justice Riman held that Alkali’s continued stay in Office negates the provisions of the Police Act, 2020.

“It is important to observe that the Inspector-General of police is a public servant and by virtue of the fact that he is a member of the staff of the Nigeria Police Force, an authority established from the Federation by Section 214 (1) of the Constitution and in the subject of the Federal Public Rules 299 (PSR) thereof which provides for the compulsory retirement of all grades of public service officers at the age of 60 or 35 years of service, whichever comes first.

“In the instant case, the 2nd Defendant’s (IGP’s) birthday comes first. By the said Rule, the 2nd Defendant is obliged to step down on March 1st 2023. The PSR retirement age provision, is mirrored in section 18 (8) of the Police Act, on the word “Shall” is used in the provision, it is mandatory. See the case of ISHOLA V. AJIBOLA 1994 4 NWLR PT 352 para 506 by Rhodes Vivour JCA (as he then was) and also IBRAHIM & ANOR V. AKINRISOLA (2010) LEPLR 444 CA, Section 7 (6) at the Police Act provides for a four-year term or tenure for the Inspector General of Police and the word “Shall” is also used in the said provision.

“I also observe that despite the prerogative power of the President, he is limited to the provisions of the Constitution. The Inspector General of Police retirement is a statutory and constitutional issue and no other law of the land can change the ground norm”, the court ruled.
All ILLEGITIMATE appointments and mandates may be blown away by the ferocious Judiciary wind that is about to sanctify the polity as Buhari retires. Read my lips!
