The Question That Destroys the Judgment

If the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act (TPPA) “should be treated as though it does not exist,” as Justice Omotosho claims, how did he see it in the first place to rely on its section 98(3) of that same Act (TPPA) to reach his conclusion?

Justice Omotosho must answer the above question, because no sensible person can say, "hey! I am relying on a law that exists to say the same law does not exist." That is a clear sign of mental illness and incoherence of reasoning of the highest order.

You cannot rely on a law that exists in order to argue that the same law does not exist.

That is not interpretation. That is logical madness.

Section 98(3) TPPA does not float in the air. It exists only because TPPA exists. The moment the Omotosho cited section 98(3), it admitted—without escape—that TPPA is a living, operative statute. How then can you turn around to say the same statute you cited, no longer exists? Its like saying, I am sitting on a chair but the chair I am sitting on does not exist. Judicial insanity!

Law does not permit a statute to be alive in one paragraph and dead in the next. Courts are not allowed to switch laws on and off like a light bulb to suit a desired outcome.

So the judgment traps itself:

×  If TPPA exists, then it governs terrorism law and it replaced the *repealed TPAA 2013* under which Kanu was wrongly convicted.

×  If TPPA does not exist, then section 98(3) could never have been there for Omotosho to see at all or invoke in his judgment.

Justice Omotosho tried to occupy both positions simultaneously. That posture is unknown to law, unknown to common sense and fatal to his jurisdiction to try Nnamdi Kanu.

They think the societal laws are not meant for them. They curse the judge and call him all the names in the book, despite giving their terrorist leader called Nnamdi Oyendumdum Kanu all the opportunity available in law to redeem himself, by advising him to get a lawyer to defend him or consult legal experts about his case, telling him the implications of self defense since he is not a lawyer and never went to law school. Now that he is sitting in prison for the rest of his miserable life, due to his own making, they're trying to interpret the law to suit themselves and conjuring what's not in Nigeria's Criminal Statutes.

They've been trying their Biafran Wayo, by asking the judge to transfer Nnamdi Kanu to Kuje Prison that they know is not secure, so that they can send their Biafran thugs to the break the prison to release Nnamdi Kanu. They've been trying that stupidity for such a long time; since the trial started and it was rebuffed by the judge, because he knows what they are planning to do. That's why he sent their terrorist leader to Sokoto prison that they can't break. They are trying their Biafran Wayo again, by arranging that Sokoto is too far from Abuja where the court is, but forgot that their terrorist leader committed a federal crime. Meaning that the judge can send him to any prison anywhere in Nigeria. No matter how far it is, because the whole Nigeria is his jurisdiction.

Here in America, if anyone commits a federal crime, the judge has the power to send him or her to any prison anywhere in America, no matter how far the prison is in America. Same thing applies in Nigeria. It's the responsibility of the convict to arrange with his lawyers to get to wherever he is imprisoned.

Foolish people, they don't know that Nigeria is smarter than them.

Dropped the ball by giving Nnamdi Kanu a death sentence and get this madness done. The guy has earned the death sentence by having thousands killed. There is a saying that goes: 'Charity begins at home, not in another person's house'.

For your ignorance, Yoruba people practice that and ensure they start a business and invest in their towns before they venture out. Go to Yoruba land, 99% of people in Yoruba towns are Yoruba people doing business and investing in their towns. On the other hand, 99% of your Igbo people seek refuge and shelter in Yoruba land and other people's towns to do business, leaving their villages and towns empty. 

I've been to your Igboland several times. All I saw was empty streets and houses without people and businesses. You're all refugees in Yoruba land including Lagos and that's a shame. 

More so, your recent trend of going to your villages to build abandoned mansions is a shame. Yoruba people invest their money in businesses and industries to provide jobs for people. They build schools, hospitals, roads and provide electricity and water and build houses that people live in, not abandoned mansions. Your Igbo people build mansions that they abandon out of useless competition. They want to show whose mansion is the biggest; whose car is the biggest and costliest and take the next fight out of the country and may never return for another 4 or 5 years, by which time their mansions have started decaying for lack of maintenance and emptiness.

Idiot, tell your dumb Igbo people to emulate Yoruba people. Tell them that when they say charity begins at home, it means what have you done to benefit your people in terms of development, job provision, healthcare provision, and empowerment, not selfishness. For your ignorance, Yoruba people practice that and ensure they start a business and invest in their towns before they venture out. Go to Yoruba land, 99% of people in Yoruba towns are Yoruba people doing business and investing in their towns. More so, your recent trend of going to your villages to build abandoned mansions is a shame. Yoruba people invest their money in businesses and industries to provide jobs for people. They build schools, hospitals, roads and provide electricity and water and build houses that people live in, not abandoned mansions. Your Igbo people build mansions that they abandon out of useless competition. They want to show whose mansion is the biggest; whose car is the biggest and costliest and take the next fight out of the country and may never return for another 4 or 5 years, by which time their mansions have started decaying for lack of maintenance and emptiness.
