I think the sentence for Steve Rhodes is too lenient.

He should have received a Life Sentence without Parole.

As the presiding judge said in the pronouncement— Steve Rhodes remains a threat to the welfare of all American citizens who not share his ideology 

both within and outside of prison.

If you plot a coup, you must pray that you succeed as the ultimate punishment for failure should be the death penalty. Steve Rhodes is lucky he is not a citizen of Nigetia during our periods of military rule.

He would have received the Bar Beach treatment from the firing squad.

Firing squad for exercising one's right to protest the results of an election???

Should SaharaReporters publisher had been given the same treatment when he asked for a symbolic revolution of governance.  His detention was protested by many Western government at that time.  

Now, I do the same, this is an aberration of America's constitution on freedom to exercise.  There's no sedition here, it's simply spurious charges to deter others and instigate fear so any citizen cannot challenge America's government directly.

I am still  on my volunteer job of helping the FBI hunt down the insurrectionists who be spoiled the peoples’ house of the world greatest nation on Jan 06. Some on the scene were wearing hoodies which cover most of their face.

I would seriously caution Sowore to refrain from leading an insurrection to dethrone a democratically elected government in Nigeria as he might get a death sentence (hanging by the neck) as the firing squad is only applicable under military rule.

Like how other protesters stop their lawmakers from performing their duties, e.g. Hong Kong 2019 protest for 6-months shutdown everything and Chinese government were being critised not to deploy troops, while in America, they deployed soldiers with Rocket launchers, sub-machine guns, and bazookas to prevent any protests on the Presidential inauguration.

Giving someone 18 years for protesting is a new Guinness record.

The Jan 6 insurrectionists are lucky they pulled their stunts in the US and not in Nigeria under military rulr  or in today’s China.
