APC Chieftain, Eze Thankful, As Nigeria's Creme de la Creme, Graces Amaechi Son's Wedding, Chikamkpa and Anita in Grand Style Amidst Dazzling Display of Culture and Statesmanship....As Her Excellency, Dame Judith Amaechi invites all and sundry to the formal Solemnization of their Holy Matrimony this very Saturday @ Abuja
Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) and former member of the APC Legacy Media Team, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has thanked Nigerians for their show of support to the family of former Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, during the wedding ceremony of his eldest son, Dr Chimamkpa who tied the knot with his heartthrob traditionally in Abuja last weekend
In a statement made available to the media, Chief Eze observed that the caliber of prominent personalities; seasoned politicians, administrators, Royal Fathers and captains of industry that graced the event in solidarity was a pointer to the fact that Amaechi remains centrally significant to Nigeria's political development efforts.
The ceremony radiated grandeur and drew a distinguished assemblage of personalities — top government officials, business leaders, traditional rulers, captains of industry, political heavyweights, and eminent statesmen — who converged from across Nigeria to honor the couple and celebrate this new chapter in the Amaechi family.
The event not only underscored the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria but also reflected the enduring influence and goodwill of the Amaechi family within both national and political circles.
Eze revealed that since after the wedding ceremony, Nigerians have inundated him with messages and calls, seeking to have an inkling of the dignitaries that graced the event.
In reaction, Eze said the turn out of guests was expectedly impressive, saying, "politicians, bureaucrats, captains of industry, clerics, Royal father's etc were in attendance.
"The attendance of dignitaries is highly commendable and really exposed the relevance and general acceptance of Amaechi's leading role in the politics of Nigeria.
The APC Chieftain, while thanking Nigerians for finding time out of their busy schedules to grace the occasion, described the Bride and Groom as children of grace, whose wedding could not have come at a better time.
"We thank Nigerians and our profound appreciation goes to all well meaning citizens of this country who joined the Amaechi family to witness this auspicious occasion.
"Without mincing words, the creme de la creme of Nigerians who attended the wedding showed that the former Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Rotimi Amaechi is popular and widely accepted as an elixir of Nigeria's floodgate of problems.
"From all the crannies of the country's geopolitical zones, Nigerians, irrespective of political leaning, converged in Abuja, to rejoice and celebrate with the Amaechi's on this joyful occasion of the wedding ceremony of their children.
"We lack words to express gratitude to you all, but our prayer is for God's divine favours, all round blessings and grace in all you do, amen" Eze prayed.
"With the kind of dignitaries witnessed during the wedding ceremony, which took place in Abuja on September 20, 2025, one can easily say that Amaechi has a resounding good political will in Nigeria, Eze said.
Though, Eze said those of them in the Amaechi political dynasty were not surprised at the turn out of dignitaries at the event, but were only baffled by the way most of the guests sat glued to their seats untill the ceremony came to a close.
"It was not an assemblage of personalities who sit for 30 minutes in a function and excuse themselves, but a testimony of grace, show of love, acceptability and admiration for Amaechi, amongst the political class.
"All the dignitaries present, sat and witnessed the colourful occasion from start to finish as a sign of love, respect and good will for Chibuike Amaechi, the APC Chieftain stated.
Amaechi served as Rivers State governor from 2007 to 2015, and later as Minister of Transportation from 2015 to 2022, under President Muhammadu Buhari.
He resigned from office to contest the APC presidential primaries in 2022, where he finished second to the incumbent President Bola Tinubu.
As much as it will not be possible to list all the names of over thousands of heavyweights that attended the historical event, Eze, for lack of space, mentioned a very few of the notable guests that included: Peter Obi (2023 Labour Party presidential candidate); Chris Ngige (former Minister of Labour); Emeka Ihedioha (former Governor of Imo State); Senator Aminu Tambuwal (former Governor of Sokoto State); Arch. Tonye Cole (2023 Rivers APC gubernatorial candidate); Hon. Dr Dakuku Peterside, erstwhile DG, NIMASA; Alhaji Nasiru Danu; Senator Osita Izunaso; Hon. Eng. Chukwudi Dimkpa; Eng. Babachir Lawal former SGF; Dr Yemi Ogunbiyi; Senator Uche Ekwunife; Hon Victor Ochei;
Senator Azuta Mbata (President Ohaneze Ndi Igbo); Senator Ben Obi erstwhile Vice Presidential Candidate to Atiku Abubakar; Alh. Maina, a former Minister of the federation, and several serving and former Governors, Senators, Ministers, Traditional Rulers, and Captains of industry, were also present.
Eze quoted Amaechi as expressing gratitude to all who joined his family in celebration.
“It was a beautiful ceremony. I’m thankful to all who showed up to celebrate with us. Proud father, now father-in-law” Amaechi was quoted as saying.
The former Minister of Transportation further used the opportunity to wish the couple a happy married life.
“What a joyful day. Congratulations to my son, Dr. Chikamkpa Amaechi, and his lovely wife, Anita".
Chief Eze said that the formal church wedding between the two love birds is scheduled for solemnization this Saturday, September 27, at St. Gabriel Chaplaincy, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Durumi 1, FCT – Abuja by 10:00 am., with reception following immediately after the wedding service at Los Angeles Event Centre, Ahmadu Bello Way, Kado, FCT – Abuja at 1:00 PM.
Her Excellency Dame Judith Amaechi in ah invitation to guests noted that "this occasion marks not only a covenant of love but also a celebration of heritage, honour, and unity. Your esteemed presence will add grace and dignity to this cherished milestone in our lives."
