The entire width of Suez Canal is 1197 feet.
If you're still confused about why Strait of Hormuz is not in the international waters and it's owned by both Iran and Oman, allow me to lecture you, because you are not the only one who is confused. America is too.I know that it's beyond your knowledge. That's why you're confused about it. But you're more intelligent than Nebukadimonkey Adiele and you can learn from me.
The width of the Hormuz is 21 Nautical Miles and international waters starts from 12 Nautical Miles of a landed territory. If you do that maths: 12 Nautical Miles from Iran plus 12 Nautical Miles from Oman, equals 24 Nautical Miles. If you subtract 21 Nautical Miles (the width of the Strait of Hormuz) from 24 Nautical Miles (the distance between Iran and Oman), you will get 3 Nautical Miles which also belongs to both Iran and Oman. That's why Hormuz is not in the international waters. If Iran or Oman takes the case to the International Court of Justice today, it would win the case of ownership of the Strait of Hormuz handedly and America would lose.

Nebu,You're right. The unnecessary death of innocent civilians polluted the narrative of this operation. This war should not have lasted more than three days.Hollow dummy Kayode is wrong as usual.Strait of Hormuz is unlike the Suez canal which was built/constructed through rocky Egyptian territory.
"Estimatessuggest between 30,000 and 120,000Egyptians died during the construction of the Suez Canal (1859–1869), largely due to cholera, harsh labor conditions, and starvation."
When did Iran construct the Strait of Hormuz?Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain & Saudi Arabia, all have stakes in that waterway. That makes it natural international water.I support Trump’s bold bid to block the Strait of Hormuz until a reasonable resolution is reached. The world should not be held hostage by Iran. The objectives of this war have already been accomplished. We are only dealing with the fallouts. The point has been proved to Iran that USA will not bow to their inordinate nuclear ambition and continued sponsorship of international terrorism.Cyril Anyanwu

Dummy Called Cyril Anyanwu:The Strait of Hormuz belongs to Iran and Oman only. It's not in the international waters, just like the Suez Canal belongs to Egypt. America and Britain lost the Suez Canal to Anwar Sadat of Egypt till today.America is fighting a losing battle. Iran is at an advantage. It has thousands of boats that can appear and disappear. Donnie man needs to learn and bring the troops back home and stop wasting American peoples monies. Billions are being wasted every day and inflation is rising astronomically in America and around the world every day. Iran can fight for years, past donny's administration without a regime change. It has over a million Guards and munitions buried in the ground and can reproduce those munitions at will. Donnie doesn't know anything about Iran and its political history. He should learn from the Shah of Iran.

The U.S. blockade of Iranian ports, which turned away nine ships in the first 48 hours, has stopped maritime trade in and out of Iran, U.S. Central Command said in a post on X.
"After implementing the blockade on ships entering and departing Iranian ports, American forces halted economic trade going into and out of Iran by sea," CENTCOM said in the post. "U.S. Sailors, Marines, and Airmen remain positioned and ready to act against any vessels seeking to violate the blockade."
USA must not bow to Iran's cheap blackmail.
