Former Nigerian Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, has said his newly released autobiography was written to provide clarity on the decisions and policies of his administration during the Nigerian Civil War, stressing that the book was not intended to revive painful memories of the conflict.

Gowon spoke ahead of the public presentation of the 881-page autobiography scheduled for May 19, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, according to a statement by Havilah Group, the publishers of the autobiography, on Tuesday.

This woman is the mother of Nnamdi Kanu's children, assuming she has fallen out with Kanu, I still doubt that Kanu would authorize the disgusting belittling names that this old semi-literate fool calls her. This man asserts boldly that Kanu's second child was sired by his ex-lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor, he heightens that claim with another assertion: Uchechi had an abortion after Kanu was arrested, she sold his house and used the money to purchase another house elsewhere, etc. What this fellow says demeans Kanu more than it could ever demean Uchechi; Biafranists should ask him to cease and desist.

Why is Nebu posting these revelations? Because Nebu was on record in defense of IPOB when he believed that IPOB was visited with injustice by the Nigerian state. Now that IPOB members are themselves revealing their secrets, which include the phoniness of their imprisoned leader, Nebu has to be on record in indicating his neutrality by letting those who witnessed his erstwhile defense of IPOB to also witness his not being a party to hiding IPOB's secrets -- I was fooled into not seeing the aspects of IPOB being disclosed now by its members.

The lady in the video (being played by the content creator from the phone) is an arch-IPOB follower/member. She has been instrumental in revealing the goings-on in IPOB, and Kanu followers have called her all sorts of names and threatens her with death. Last month, she interviewed Kanu's wife, following which Kanu's followers baptized both of them with the ashawo tag.   

She is revealing here that Kanu wasn't what he pretended to being -- he lived in luxury and extravaganza in Kenya with a Kenya woman for a year, during which period Uchechi did not know his whereabouts until he was captured by Nigeria. That Kanu had impregnated an 18-year-old girl a few years ago in Enugu, bought her a house, and later abandoned her/the child. When the girl began making threats of exposing her situation, she disappeared -- she said she is looking for the girl with the hope of interviewing her if found. She states further that Kanu was in the habit of financially shaking down governors in Igbo land at night, but only to abuse them publicly in the day, which led to no governor having his back when he was captured. She believes that president Tinubu will grant a pardon to Kanu, after which IPOB as they know it will be dead -- she seems to not want that, she wants folks to take over IPOB and shove Kanu aside before he uses dissolving IPOB to getting a presidential pardon. She said loads of other things, some of them seeming to implicating Kanu is murders, but I am not repeating them since, if the are false, the damage would be incalculable -- I can't be a conduit to conveying such heinous allegations.
