Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has backed the call for international intervention in Nigeria to halt the spate of killings and insecurity, saying the government is unable to protect the citizens.

Me - I hope Bayo nanga and Tinubu won’t forgive Obasanjo like they claim they won’t forgive Peter Obi for supporting foreign intervention.

Good morning, Alagba Olajide

I live here in Lagos, and I'm not against foreign support or assistance, where foreign governments assist us with arms and fighter jets, or we hire foreign mercenaries if we suspect incompetence on the part of our military.
However, I'm strongly opposed to foreign intervention, like the one rudely proposed by Mr. Trump, who always has ulterior motives.

Oga Imperial,

In actual fact, I doubt the veracity of that quote from Obasanjo.

No sane former or current leader of any country would have proposed unwelcome military intervention by a foreign country into a country he has ruled or currently ruling.

Yes. No man is an island, Nigeria can collaborate, seek support, accept assistance etc from his allies in combating internal security issues, but only on its own terms.

Trump was just mouthing off as he does. I doubt if the US dare to put boots on the ground in Nigeria at all.

Oga Imperial,
I forgot to add the sentences below.

It is really a shame to Nigerian people and the leadership we chose, that an external threat of invasion by a superior power was needed for our leaders to now start carrying out a raft of different moves to bolster security.

If they are able to do it now, why haven't they being doing them?

The whining of members of the house of assembly and other political leaders about the withdrawal of personal police protection is even more nauseating.
They see themselves as high value targets for kidnapping, banditry, terrorism etc etc. if they had ceased to be high value non-performers and have dealt with the security issues competently they wouldn't have needed security details.
If they had provided adequate security for the average low value Nigerian, they wouldn't have needed security details at all.

Regards,

Femi Olajide

Brothers Femi and Imperial:

I agree with the latest shared opinions from both
of you on Trump’s threat to invade Nigeria.

Nigeria should be open to obtaining assistance from
all nations in the world including the USA, but such assistance should have as its bedrock mutual respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty as Nigeria should have for the countries that offervto assist us.

The USA is no longer in a position to solve her own domestic problems not to mention the problems she is having on the internal stage, which has worsened since the beginning of Trump’s second term.

The USA is an empire in the throes of its decline.
She owes the rest of the world 37 trillion US dollars. She pays every month about $80 billion dollars in interest payments without paying down a cent of the principal. The interest in the cumulative debt is paid to the borrowers not in hard currency gold, silver etc. but by the US Treasury
issuing more of its Treasury Bills which are sold to the rest of the world. She is piling up additional debt that would be left for her future generations to pay.
This is the reason all of the 3 global rating agencies have dramatically downgraded her credit rating.

If the US under Trump makes an offer to help Nigeria, she would be demanding for Nigeria to cede up to 25 to 30% our yet to be fully explored natural resources including our rare earth minerals and others. This is what the US is demanding from Ukraine in exchange for her continuing support even as she is urging Ukraine to surrender to Russia or be annihilated.

We must also ask ourselves how effective the US has
been in fighting terrorism on her own soil and overseas.

The USA has lost most recent wars she engaged in against other countries either alone or in coalition with other countries including with NATO and other alliances.

The USA has lost the last for wars she has been engaged in. She has had to flee with her tail tied to her back at the end of the Vietnam War, Afghanistan and Iraq and is currently negotiating a surrender to Russia, a war she has already lost.

The USA has gradually lost her position as the most powerful and richest country in the world. Both nation and her citizens are in an “Affordability Crisis.”
Her citizens can no longer afford to purchase the basic goods they need that are produced in the country, because of the high wages and other ancillary costs. US citizens consume goods made in low wages countries. This is the reason she has hundreds of billions of deficits every year-which she
pays for selling more treasury bills to foreign counties and their citizens.

China and her other partner countries in BRICS no longer consider the US dollar as the only currency for
International Trade.
This is one of the reasons Trump is levying Tarrifs in imports, their own government officials can use as they want including lining their own pockets.

In summary, the USA is a nation in decline. She is now more dependent on the rest of the world than they are on her.

The dam has broken! We are entering a new era that will be led by China and the emerging  BRICS nations with the USA and her G7 allies left in the rear view mirror.

Bye,

Ola

Nigeria must not hire any foreign mercenaries. That's a slap on Nigeria's face. Further, Nigeria must not rely on the US for support of any kind. America is looking to establish its military base in Nigeria. That's why it's accusing Nigeria of genocide. It's own Ambassador to Nigeria said it many times that there is no Christian genocide in Nigeria. That both Christians and Muslims are being killed by terrorists and as a matter of fact, more Muslims are being killed than Christians. It's terrorism and terrorists don't discriminate. But America decided to ignore and bypass its own Ambassador which supposed to be its number on point of contact about what's going on in Nigeria and choosing to rely on some stupid people whose aim is to destabilize Nigeria's government at all cost for information, because America doesn't want to face its own domestic problems. It's looking for ways to divert its citizens attention from its own internal problems to foreign countries like Venezuela and Nigeria.

The fact is that America cannot solve Nigeria's gargantuan insecurity or terrorism. Several countries helped America flush out ISIS from Iraq several years ago. It couldn't do it by itself and it took a long time to flush out ISIS from Iraq with the help of several countries, and ISIS is a uniformed terrorist organization, which made them easy to locate. Boko Haram, ISWAP, AL-QAEDA, IPOB, ESN, Fulani Herders, Bandits and Kidnappers all currently in Nigeria are all un-uniformed terrorists that are difficult to spot. America hasn't dealt with the kind of terrorism in Nigeria before. America spent several years in the Sahel and Mali areas trying to spot terrorists and couldn't get rid of them till they left. America has some of the equipment Nigeria needs, but will not give them to Nigeria. They're all about propaganda against Nigeria. Nigeria has been asking America for necessary equipment to tackle terrorism for years, they never responded. Instead, they sent Nigeria second hand and underrated equipment. That's to tell you about America.

The Nigerian military is not the problem with insecurity in Nigeria. I said that many in these forums times before. Nigeria cannot fight and defeat terrorism with the military or the police. It requires a new kind of force which I designed for Nigeria. More so, Nigeria should not rely on America for equipment. China has better equipment than America. As a matter of fact, China is not more technologically advanced than America and all the necessary equipment can be sought from China. A lot of people haven't been to China lately to see China's advancement in technology. I've been to China recently and I saw wonders. It will take years for America to catch up with China technologically. America has been sleeping while China has been busy developing its technology day and night. I will encourage people to visit China and see wonders.

I identified Nigeria's insecurity problems and developed a blueprint and strategies for Nigeria to combat terrorism and insecurity. Nigeria's security architecture has too many loopholes. That's why it can defeat insecurity and terrorism. A whole lot of things have to be overhauled in Nigeria. I also developed a new set of training for Nigeria's security forces to be adopted. Nigeria is using outdated equipment, security systems, strategies and trainings.
That's why insecurity is increasing every and that is further compounded by politicians in Nigeria who are sponsoring terrorists and terrorism to score political points and destabilize Nigeria.

People in Nigeria, including the Nigeria's Think-Tank have no idea how to solve Nigeria's gargantuan insecurity problems. Even Nigeria's Institute of Stategic Studies that the government relies on for strategies has no clue. They're giving the government unworkable ideas, advice and strategies.

I predicted what's happening in Nigeria today as far back as Jonathan Badluck administration but nobody including Jonathan paid any attention and it's happening just like I predicted. I predicted the trajectory of insecurity in Nigeria today, if Jonathan Badluck failed to defeat them in their Borno enclave. I said that once terrorists escape their Borno State enclave, they will metamorphose and spread to other parts of the North and other parts of Nigeria, including Abuja, Kogi, Kwara, Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Edo. Southeast and South South and Lagos. I mapped out how they would travel from the North to the Middle Belt including Benue, Niger, Kogi and Kwara to Oyo, Ogun and Ondo axis to Lagos and also through Benue and Kogi to the Edo State, Southeast and South South. People like General Ishola Williams said no, that will never happen. That they will only remain in the North. Today, they have not only spread to Abuja, they have spread to Kogi and Kwara and on their way to Oyo, Ogun, Ondo and eventually Lagos, Edo, Southeast and South South. IPOB has already got hold of Southeast. Unfortunately, no body paid attention.

Whenever I talk, people should always listen and pay attention.

GK,

It's your prerogative to think I sound like whoever.
If you caused (at least was in power when it started) the wahala on the ground and wasn't unable to fix it while you were in the position to fix it, then you're irrelevant when people are trying to fix it.

It's a good thing that I'm supporting a Yoruba performer against another Yorubabnon-performer, else you'll be saying I'm being tribalistic.

What you guys don't understand about Yorubas is that, vwevare discerning.
We don't have the 'herd mentality' that some ethnic nations in Nigeria do.

We think individually, agree on common grounds and move forward.

Regards,

Femi Olajide
