Hi

With all due respect to animal lovers,

I would like to share a horrified experience. A pack of 7-8 ‘stray dogs’ chased me about couple of months back in the basement area, while returning home late night.

I would say we are sitting on a ticking ‘time bomb’ just waiting to explode.

Please do the needful before it’s too late.

Best Regards

Hi All,

My 4 year son almost got bitten by the stray dogs in the basement while returning home. He and his mother were walking.

For all those dog lovers who believe that it is alright for them to feed/keep food for strays in the basement. Please refrain.

Today its my child, and he got saved. Tomorrow it would be another child and will not be as lucky.

Please behave with maturity and with a sense of responsibility towards fellow humans first.

1: Please register your dog with BMC
2: Please put your dog on leash at all times when in society premises
3: If our pet by chance poops in society premises, please clean the mess with a old news paper and dispose the same in the wastebin.

Lets maintain a clean and healthy enviornment for both pets and people around.

Please find attached the AWB circular. Anybody has a later version than this, please share.

Look at it and decide where are the ones who are feeding dogs or giving them water wrong.

Cheers

Sandeep

Sandeep is right ... last time there was a discussion on this subject, some people threatened legal action against those complaining !!

Am an animal lover myself and have deep respect for those who fight for the same, but there has to be a line drawn when it comes to safety of residents in a closed area, especially children. The Federation (or whatever it is right now) needs to act and keep the common areas safe.

One of the Iris residents had raised the issue of strays being fed just outside Iris building by someone coming from Zara. It was pointed out to us that the woman who was preparing the food actually had a license from BMC to feed the dogs and we can't be interfering with feeding of dogs in their natural habitat. Need someone to understand the law well and then advise on this.
AA, TT and II mandate is restricted to the building and doesn't extend to the parking area. That area is under federation and run by NBL as of now.
Also no CHS can pass a resolution which goes against an existing law.
I too have a 4 year old at home who like other kids is petrified of the strays & we need to cross basement parking pretty often with her.

Cheers
Sandeep

Completely agree. This is dangerous. We all know that even out pet dogs can behave violently while having their food, let alone the stray ones.

While societies can issue required instructions to their members, the gaurds for commareas should be advised to check this and if the residents do not listen, report the matter to the society office bearers.

This is dangerous situation. The issue was raised earlier also but safety concerns of residents (specially Children) remains.
What do Dog (Stary) lover say?. Why are they silent?. They Must suggest solution.
