Dear Mr. Dhaval Shah & Mr.Rahul Tiwari,Greetings!Thank you for responding and not reacting.Mr. Dhaval, would like to give you a statistics of dog injuries which took place just since last navaratri till date.1. 5 dogs mysteriously died (together) in and around Mimosa and Mirabilis & Tilia and Tulipia, September end, 2014.2. 2 puppies of just 2 months were poisoned near Mimosa on November 3rd, 2014.3. On 3rd February, 2015, A brown dog was brutally beaten, causing spine injury. One gentleman (member) of Mimosa called me and informed and we immediately rushed the dog in a rickshaw to IDA. But Doctors couldn't save him, though he was immediately put on saline and pain killers, he died the second day. You would not want to see the photo of this dog, it is very painful to see.4.On 12th July,2015 one of our brown colour, very active, female dog was brutally beaten, our friend, Mr.Arnav immediately made arrangements and sent the dog to IDA. Till date it could not walk as she was temporarily paralysed...now with neuro tonic and medicines she is trying to push her body and trying to move. But How long it will take for her to recover completely, we have no idea.(All these incidents are informed to Mr.Ravi Salkhe and few of your members)5. on 24th July, 2015 at Mimosa one of your guard beat the dog again and injured his leg, When our friend, Mona, questioned instead of being apologetic he was rude. (informed to Mr. Sunil, Supervisor as Mr.Ravi Salke had left for the day)Active members of Nahar Pet Club, Anjali, Mona, Arnav, Santosh, myself, and few more are trying to spread awareness by constantly meeting all the guards, once in a fortnight. We have given enough copies of Laws/Acts in the interest of safeguarding these compound dogs. We meet Mr.Ravi Salkhe very often and given him all the material to publicise in your residents forum and the penalities involving cruelty. This year's vaccination of our dogs, with anti rabies and 9 in 1 will begin once we have a dry spell. All NGOs appreciate this approach of ours. Yes, I understand we have many dogs around and we know many residents don't like them and we understand that as well and we don't hold a grudge against them. We know that the complex should be stray free but Nahar Pets Club has chosen the path of humanely dealing with it. We can deal with it by neutering them so their population is reduced and eventually eliminate totally. For your information Mr.Dhaval, we just have one or two left here to be neutered.Mr. Dhaval, since you have responded to my mail, for your information, the following was conveyed to Mr.Prakash Agarwal from the Adhoc Committee. Request society members to;1. refrain from writing hate mails and spread hatred against compound dogs.2.not privately instruct the guards to beat and chase them outside (because they are territorial).3. not threaten the guards that their salaries will be cut or deducted if they don't beat and chase the dogs out (This is the feedback we get from the guards when we do our fortnightly rounds).I too feel very sorry for the guard, Sanjay, We just wanted to educate him and pardon him with a warning. Instead, the two members who are in question, and who were in the lobby, threatened in front of the NGO and police that they would beat and also told three security guards to continue beating them and assured the guards not to worry and they would take care of them. Mr.Dhaval, with this scenario, the NGO had to abandon the strategy of just verbally warning the guard and instead address it in the serious manner that it deserved. Hence the police FIR and subsequent fine. After conveying the relevant laws to the supervisors and guards (printed in marathi and hindi), majority of them have self corrected themselves. It is just a few who continue their cruelty. As we would expect, most of our guards are very polite and actually do care for the strays.Mr. Dhaval, you can check with Supervisor Sunil. He was informed about the incident and why Mr.Sunil in turn did not inform Mr.Ravi Salkhe.I too believe and in agreement with you Mr. Dhaval and Mr. Rahul, let us co exist and live peacefully.God bless! With warm regards,Lavita PowellFrom: dhaval...@gmail.com

To: lavita...@hotmail.com; vishwajit...@gmail.com; biswaroop...@icloud.com; dpe...@yahoo.com;Dear Miss Lavita and all!!
I have gone through the chain of emails about this incident and I would like to put my personal opinion around the same since we all live in the same community and I feel it affects as much to me as the others involved during the incident. While the good cause was the intention on your part which I do not deny, I also feel that the communication to the guard should have been done via proper channel. Since we are yet to for the society, you should have asked the adhoc committee members of MM and in turn they should have informed the security in charge of the society and maintenance office to take the actions against the guard instead of bringing NGO members from outside and taking the matter in own hands. In the worst case the NGOs could have gone to police station and lodged a complaint against the security guard.
I feel as far as possible we should try to maintain peace in our residential premises as that's what we all desperately seek for once we get back home from this noisy and crazy world!!
Best regards,
Dhaval Shah

CC: viren...@yahoo.com; roz...@yahoo.com; ahluwali...@gmail.com; bhaskar.c...@airtel.in;As a resident and seeing these exchange of mail I can say that NGO people should take proper process to access the building by keeping builder and society members of Mirablis & Mimosa in confidence. Even better ask the guard to meet in builders office or police station..
And we as a society should also ban this guard if he is guilty and condemn cruelty against any animal.Regards
Rahul Tiwari

Dear Mr.Penha,
Good Morining!
Indeed, I am very much in agreement with your concern on Pets and dogs pooping. Nahar Pet Club is constantly sending reminders to all pet owners to pick up the poop, keeping their pets on leash and muzzle them if they are aggressive. We are even working on levying a fine who are not following the rules.
Regarding compound dogs, they are the original inhabitants of this sector and we cannot displace them legally. If we do, we will be jailed for 48 hours with non bailable warrant. 99% are neutered and eventually their number will reduce to insignificance.
I hope I have answered your query.
Any time in future if you or any other members have any query regarding our compound dogs or pets, please feel free to approach us, we will be happy to help !
God bless.
With warm regards,
Lavita Powell
