Hi All, I just had a rather unpleasant experience regarding my dog in the lift few minutes ago so wanted to check a few facts.

I don't usually use the lift that often so maybe I need to know if there was a circular about not taking dogs in the regular lifts and only using the service lift, in Yarrow?

I got in the lift just as a gentleman stepped out but his wife stayed inside and clung to the door of the lift asking me if the dog bites. I said no and went to the back of the lift with Ozzy. Next I hear the gentleman with her asking me to use the service lift.

I asked him if he wanted me to use it right now or as a general rule, so he said as a general rule- this circular has been out for sometime, 'that is what the service lifts are for- to travel with your pet', he tells me, adding that he is allergic and on humanitarian grounds I should not use the regular lifts. His wife then got out as well, they are both allergic I suppose.

So kindly do update me if there has been any such circular.

Thanks a ton!
Regards
Smita

Dear Smita,

As far as I am aware no such ruling has been passed regarding use of Service lift by pet owners.

Even I have people in my building Arum who sometimes don’t get in when I am already inside. If there are people already inside whom I don’t know I ask them if they are okay to travel with my pet and if they say yes I get it.

So if I was in que before them, I would go first.

But yes! There is no such rule for pets or pet owners to specifically use service lifts.

Warm Regards
Santosh R Rane

Thanks for your response Santosh. I usually don't use the lift, especially if there is someone who looks uncomfortable or if it is crowded.
And I certainly don't mind using the service lift if nobody else has a problem.
Also this 'humanitarian ground' plea threw me off:)
