Hi,

i'm new to Synagios.
I've installed Synagios on a DS716+

I like to add a plugin for my Routerboard router.
Is there a tutorial how to install an external plugin?

There are also a couple of apps for the iPhone.
I've installed some of them but I can't connect to Synagios.
What is the correct URL to connect to?

Regards,

Floris van Ingen

Bear in mind that after logging into your diskstation and chroot'ing in, the
system is a standard Debian Jessie system with standard nagios installed.

These links might be useful to get an idea of the steps involved:

Install and configure nagios/nagrestconf using ansible (William Pool).

Example of monitoring a remote server using SNMP.

Example of setting up an existing plugin.

What is the correct URL to connect

Monitor URL:

or for apps (such as nagstamon) they ask also for:

Monitor CGI URL:

Change 'diskstation' for your diskstation's IP or dns name.
Assuming you left it on the default port 8888.
Assuming you have a working nagios configuration.

HTH
Mark.

I meant:

Monitoring Devolo DLAN with Synagios (Thomas Wittmann).

It uses an external plugin.

Google 'chroot synagios'. Came up with:

cd /volume1/@appstore/Synagios/nagios-chroot/
chroot . /bin/bash
Then do:

  tail -f /var/log/apache2/*.log

Try the iphone app again and it will show you what link it tried.

You should be able to debug and fix from there, supplying the correct URL to the app.
