以下は会議の詳細になります．

第19回 画像の認識・理解シンポジウム MIRU2016

会場：アクトシティ浜松（静岡県浜松市）
日程：2016年8月1日(月)～4日(木)

今回で19回目を迎える画像の認識・理解シンポジウム（MIRU）は，画像の認識と理解技術
に関する国内最大規模の会議です．研究者，技術者，そして次世代を担う学生の議論・交
流の場であり，基礎から応用まで最新の研究発表と討論の場です．MIRU2016は浜松にて開
催，多数のご発表・ご参加をお待ちしています．

■募集する発表の種類

【査読付き発表 (Refereed presentation)】

 査読の結果，優秀なものはオーラルセッションでの発表となり，発表概要（和文もしく
は英文2ページ）が MIRU2016 Extended Abstract集に掲載されます．また，この査読は，
連携する英文論文誌「IPSJ Transactions on Computer Vision and Applications
(CVA)」の Express Paper としての査読を兼ねて行われており，査読において同誌に採録
可能と判断された投稿は，MIRU から同誌に対してExpress Paperとしての掲載の推薦が行
われます（この推薦によりCVAに掲載される場合，掲載料および英文校正代金の著者負担
はありません）．なお，MIRU のオーラルセッション発表の採否とCVA Express Paperへの
推薦の有無は別のもので，それらが一致するとは限りません．また，CVAへの掲載は辞退
することも可能です．

オーラルセッション発表とならなかった投稿はインタラクティブセッション発表となりま
す．この場合，発表概要（和文もしくは英文，2ページまたは4ページ）が MIRU2016
Extended Abstract集に掲載されます．

【一般発表 (General Presentation)】
 インタラクティブセッションでの発表となり，発表概要（和文もしくは英文２ページ）
がMIRU2016 Extended Abstract集に掲載されます．

【デモ発表 (Demo Presentation)】
デモセッションでの発表となり，発表概要（和文もしくは英文２ページ）がMIRU2016
Extended Abstract集に掲載されます．

The 19th Meeting on Image Recognition and Understanding (MIRU2016)

The 19th Meeting on Image Recognition and Understanding (MIRU2016) will be held
on August 1-4, ACT CITY Hamamatsu. MIRU2016 is organized to give researchers an
opportunity of discussion based on recent advances in the fields of foundation
and application of image recognition and understanding.

<Important Dates>
March 7th 24:00 (JST): Title & Abstract submission for refereed presentation
March 20th 24:00 (JST): Paper and  Supplementary materials  submission for
refereed presentation (up to 4 pages). Firm deadline!!
April 26th (tentative): Notification of acceptance for refereed presentation
Jun 8th 24:00 (JST): Camera ready for extended abstract (refereed presentation,
general presentation, and demo presentation）

<Presentation Types>
* Refereed presentation
Researches which are accepted as Oral Presentation will be presented at an oral
session. Summary of their researches will be included on the MIRU2016 Extended
Abstract (2 pages, in Japanese or English). Note that some of selected
researches will be published on IPSJ Transactions on Computer Vision and
Applications (CVA) as an Express Paper with free of charge (The authors can
decline to publish their work on the CVA journal). While researches which are
accepted as Interactive Presentation will be scheduled to present at an
interactive poster session. In this case, summary of their researches will be
included on the MIRU2016 Extended Abstract (2 pages or 4 pages, in Japanese or
English).

* General presentation
All general presentation will be scheduled to present at an interactive poster
session. Summary of your research will be included on the MIRU2016 Extended
Abstract (up to 2 pages).

* Demo presentation
All demo presentation will be scheduled to present at a demo session. Summary of
your demo will be included on the MIRU2014 Extended Abstract (up to 2 pages).
