Are we dumbing down the world? 3G is in India now. Internet is
catching up in several developing countries now, but behavioral
research can't keep up with rapid change in technology. By that time
scientists figure out behavioral patterns of a person using any
technological device, that technology is obsolete. There are
interesting facts coming out of heavily wired countries like South
Korea etc. There are kids in such countries who haven't read non-
academic books. I am sure Nagari kids fit here as well, that too
without any widespread of technology in Nagar. Due to cheap Internet
Cafe, addiction to video games in South Korea is common. South Korea
has 2 week Internet rescue camps for heavily addicted Internet addicts
that do medical treatments like eye strains etc. In Stanford study
(Prof. Clifford Nass) of chronic multitaskers(who heavily use laptops,
cellphones, technology etc.) are found significantly slower and worse
in analytical reasoning. Is that the future of nagari kids?
