In technical terms, Slumdog Millionaire(Crorepati) is mostly CineForm
RAW acquired feature shot with the Silicon Imaging SI-2K Mini camera.
More than half of the movie is shot using si-2k technology. Its a
digital cinema technology, not like those bollywood ancient bulky film
cameras used to shoot bollywood movies. Its a portable handheld camera
with hard drive keeping in backpack. SI-2K cameras can record upto 4
hours (160 gb hard drive). You can shoot the similar movie using cheap
HD camcorder with HD resolution. Slumdog Millionaire cost a $5 million
to shoot with total $13 million budget.
