I am currently running Netflix 0.13.22, it seems to be the latest version. If I remember correctly, I think I used this guide to install netflix: RPi streaming station with Amazon Instant Video and Netflix laclaro
Having same issue. Disabled & removed netflix but not associated data.
download latest script that installed at version 0.13.20 but can only upgrade to 0.13.22. so ended up with same issue. i.e. 0.13.23 not in list of available versions that I can switch between. I see on Github they are at 23. What do I need to do to get netflix update to pull this build?
I am unable to log in. I am using Netflix 14.6 and it was working fine last week, but now I receive the message: Please check your credentials. I have uninstalled Netflix, removed all associated data, reinstalled after using your Prep-script on Putty, and entered my Name and Password as I have done in the past. Still get the same response from the addon. Any other suggestions. BTW, I have exactly the same problem with Netflix on Raspbian, and LibreElec.
I agree totally... 1st apple tv loving it for me and the wife. But parental support for restrictions for my 3 children not very well thought out. Family movie night browsing movies selections don't want see MILF or the blood covered movie title and the other inappropriate titles while looking at new arrivals looking for Disney movies or other G,PG, PG-13. Something should be done ASAP.? I love what apple has been offering for the devices but more control over them in the user hands would be more appreciated then these devices could be in every childs room... IJMS
4. Configure your new profile with whatever name you like, and a different "sign-in" name than your normal account. This is where you can set the profile to only allow certain content ratings. Set them up as you see fit. Click "Save."
5. Go back to your AppleTV. Logout of the current Netflix account, and log back in using the Account Profile sign-in ID you created on the Netflix web site. Yes, I know AppleTV says to put in your email address, but just put in the Account Profile sign-in instead.
It's working for me. I have my AppleTV set to login under a profile with parental controls, not the main account login. I just checked it again just now, and it's working fine. Maybe it's something with your account?
Ok, I should clarify... streaming to a computer or streaming to a Wii will not work unless you are logged into your main profile (Owner Profile). I am not completely sure about AppleTV, however, based on my conversations with Netflix support, they said that any kind of online streaming from Netflix must be done through the main (owner) account due to agreements between Netflix and the media companies providing the content.
apple please create a way to remove everything like search/genre/suggestion/tv shows and leave only instant queue and just for kids. There are so many familes with kids dont want there kids to access anything above pg
netflix start with 500 queue which was great 500 titles 250 kids 250 adult , apple need to add netflix setting to disable the search/ genre and when is off we get instant queue / just for kids two links.
Both seasons of the Australian reality series Instant Hotel will be gone from Netflix by the end of March. After removing the first season on Dec. 27, 2022, the six-episode second season is scheduled to leave on Saturday, March 18. The competition series was only available on Netflix in the U.S., so it was marketed as a Netflix Original. No third season was ever produced.
Instant Hotel aired on Australia's Seven Network and was produced by Seven Studios. The show follows homeowners who turned their homes into "instant" hotels and were judged by each other. Those who received the best scores were crowned the winners and won an all-expense-paid stay at an instant hotel in California. Actor Luke Jacobz hosted the first season.
Season 1 aired on Seven back in November 2017, but was released to Netflix in the U.S. in 2018. The second season followed a similar format and aired in 2019. There were only six episodes in Season 2, which ended with the champions receiving $100,000. A third season was never produced or released, and it seems unlikely at this point if Netflix is comfortable with dropping the entire show from its platform.
Jannine Barossa, one of the stars from the first season, died in June 2021. She was 61. Barossa and her husband, Mark Barossa, turned their home into the Barossa Old Garage Bed and Breakfast in South Australia. Her family did not announce a cause of death.
Instant Hotel was not the only reality series to leave Netflix during December. The Challenge Seasons 12 and 25, and Black Ink Crew New York Seasons 3 and 4 disappeared on Dec. 14. The third and fourth seasons of Teen Mom 2 also disappeared on Dec. 14.
Although Instant Hotel was billed as a "Netflix Original," Netflix only served as the U.S. distributor for the series. Netflix's licensing deal with Seven Studios may have just expired, which would explain why left the service. This is the same reason why subscribers saw shows like Chewing Gum and Hemlock Grove leave Netflix, as the streamer simply let the licensing deals expire.
Netflix has spent the past couple of years building its own reality content. Shows like Love Is Blind and The Circle are produced for the streamer and have become big hits. Two more seasons of Love Is Blind are in the works. The fifth season of The Circle, titled The Circle Singles, was released on Wednesday, Dec. 28. Netflix also hosts other home makeover shows, including Instant Dream House, Dream House Makeover, Interior Design Matters, Tiny House Nation, and Tidying Up With Marie Kondo.
Over the weekend, without telling users, Netflix decided to stop displaying all titles from users instant watch queue if the rights to stream the content has expired. In the past, these titles remained in the queue and if they were to expire soon, they would also list the date when they would no longer be available for streaming. While Netflix took to their blog on Saturday saying they made this change to, "make the instant Queue easier to manage", clearly all they are trying to do is hide the fact that so many titles are expiring.
Even though Netflix says they didn't actually remove any of the titles from the queue and that they will reappear once again if they get the rights to stream the title, the fact is users can no longer see them, or manage them. And since most of us probably don't remember what all those titles were, how are we suppose to add them to our DVD queue since they are no longer available for streaming? Not to mention, the titles that we can longer see in our queue, count towards the limit of 500 titles you can have in your queue at any one time. So if we can't see them, how are we suppose to delete them so that we can add more titles to our queue?
What Netflix has done is take the problem of too many streaming movies becoming unavailable and turned it into two problems; we can't keep track of them to add them to the DVD queue and hidden movies count toward our queue count but we can't see them to delete them. How dumb. Not to mention, Netflix says while it "looks like some titles are gone", they didn't "remove" them. Really? So we can no longer see them and we have no way to manage them yet Netflix says it only "looks like" the titles are gone? The titles are gone if w can't see them! I am getting so tired of Netflix's blog posts lately which are starting to sound like they are written by a bunch of lawyers being creative with words.
Netflix can try and spin this any way they want but the bottom line is that the Starz contract is due to expire in about five months and at that time, a lot of users would have a bunch of titles showing up in their saved queue and would starting realizing just how many movies are becoming unavailable for streaming. And some Netflix users would reconsider keeping their account active or not. This is simply Netflix's way of trying to make sure we don't notice what's expiring, by not letting us see all the movies in our queue. Brilliant job Netflix. You just made your service harder to use and you announced the change only after people noticed it and started complaining. You may be in the driver's seat now, but I can't wait till Amazon eats your lunch.
I have my SKY Q box on HDMI1 and have become accustomed to switching back from Netflix (or any other app for that matter) by having HDMI1 assigned to button "1" using the Quick Access feature. In the last week though, this feature has stopped working properly. If I am in Netflix and I press the "1" button, nothing happens (as expected). If instead I hold down the "1" button to switch to SKY I get a pop up that says this: "Do you want to add Netflix to [Quick Access 1]?". If I then hold down the "0" button, the 3x3 grid "EDIT QUICK ACCESS" pop-up appears and I can clearly see my SKY Q/HDMI 1 in the top left grid position (button "1")!!!
If I then switch via the Home button to HDMI1 and remove HDMI1 from Quick Access (via the EDIT QUICK ACCESS pop up), I can then re-add it by holding down 1 or from within the pop-up. Now, if I go into Netflix and then hold down 1, my TV does (correctly) switch to HDMI1. Hurrah! If however I turn my TV off and back on, then go to Netflix, then hold down "1", I am back to square one with the question "Do you want to add Netwflix to [Quick Access 1]?"......Grrrr!!!
I have tried switching the TV off at the wall, leaving for 10 seconds and repowering, which doesn't fix the problem (I don't believe WebOS reboots when you do this). LG appear to have made it a practical impossibility to reboot WebOS via anything other than a factory reset which I don't really want to do as it'll take me too long to get all my settings back to where I have them now. Some blogs suggest that the "User Licence agreement" setting can be changed which forces a reset from within the General tab but I don't see this on my TV (guessing that WebOS interface has changed).
