If you add grated, fried coconut to the kootu curry.... it would taste yummier!.:) happy  Dont know if that's part of the original curry..but i love the nutty aromatic flavour of fried coconut!!

Malini is right...the fried coconut adds to the flavour...erussery also has the same topping. Self intro...malini and Rajini are my sisters.....Bharathan Achan and Prema's daughters....!!!

The Koottucurry came out real good.But I was not able to get it dry.Amma used to roast coconut and add it while she did the kaduku varukkal.I did the same too.It tasted really good.

use less water & simmer for a long time till it is almost dry
