This is the fourth and final story in four part series about the healthcare system-swaying doctors’ opinions, funding medical schools and, ultimately, affecting the type of drugs we are prescribed. A broken system which undermines the health of the vulnerable, especially the seniors.
A total of $151m was paid out by the pharmaceutical companies to hospitals and doctors in 2017-18 to enhance their notoriety but no one knows who got paid or why.
