I took the chords from Boards of Canada songs and put them into Xfer Records Cthulhu. From Cthulhu, you can make variations, add low notes, and change to major/minor/suspended. This gives a lot of inspiring chord progressions from some of my favorite Boards of Canada songs. I put them into a zip file of chord presets that you can use in Cthulhu for yourself (see below).

The ADSR production team is back with another follow-up to their popular Cthulhu Presets series. Although many labels have tried to imitate this series, nobody does it quite like ADSR.
Airwaves Artist Chords & Melodies is the latest iteration of this insanely popular series from ADSR with a new twist. Imagine being being able to play the chord progressions from some of the most popular songs from the biggest artists in electronic music.
Airwaves allows you to learn and understand the chord progressions used in some of the biggest electronic hits on the radio. All presets have been sorted in multiple folders categorized by each artist. Within each artist folder are 4-5 song titled presets that contain the chord progressions of that title.
If your a DJ or producer creating remixes, bootlegs, re-works, these presets will easily allow you to re-create the chord structures using your own synth sounds. If you are writing new tracks and are stuck, simply load up a preset within the same key of your song and trigger the progressions in a different order to come up with an entirely new chord structure.
Since these are chord presets, you can apply them to pretty much any style of music such as , R&B, Deep House, Future House, EDM, Trap and Future Bass. You already know these chord structures work well for top Billboard charting tracks, why not apply that magic to your own music.

To make it even easier to navigate Athenaeum, we have included 30 MIDI examples of chord progressions accompanied by 30 corresponding MIDI files that link to the current presets, along with 15 chords progression WAV loops. Together, these act like a tutorial of how this pack should be used as well as being viable melodic ideas for your own music.
I've created three preset banks based of a discussion on kvr regarding chords suitable for deep house. The download contains the three fxp files, as well as the midi files. The chords include are as follows:
hi! the presets are showing up in cthulhu but when i select e.g. House Chords 1 nothing happens when i hit my keyboard. also there is no blue line showing up in the cthulhu keyboard region indicating that the chords where loaded.

Will this work with my music creating software?

Will the MIDI chords be recorded into my DAW as MIDI chords?
No but you can use plugins like MULAB or Loopbe to record the actual chords as MIDI chords. Your audio exports will always contain the chords as you hear them in your DAW or music software.
