Apologies for cross-posting!
Hello everyone! AFSC's New Jersey Immigrant Rights Program is seeking passionate individuals to fill critical roles within our legal services unit. We are looking for dedicated, intellectually curious, and socially conscious candidates to join our esteemed legal team and help address the pressing needs of immigrants in New Jersey, which, given the results of this week’s election has become even more dire.
We are seeking a Supervising Attorney and three Staff Attorneys to assist our efforts in representing both detained and non-detained individuals involved in removal proceedings at our Newark offices. Additionally, we are hiring a Managing Attorney to help oversee our Central Jersey office in Redbank, which serves as an incubator for exploring innovative approaches to providing legal services in legal service deserts and expanding community education efforts in collaboration with our community organizers.
If you are passionate about disrupting unjust and inhumane systems of oppression and making a meaningful impact in the lives of immigrants—especially in an underserved state and at a time when our beloved communities need all hands on deck—we invite you to apply or share these opportunities with an ideal candidate.
Our office is primarily hybrid, with in-office presence required only one day per week, which, for tri-state folx, makes the NJ commute quite manageable (I speak from experience!). AFSC offers a generous benefits package including four weeks of paid vacation, 100% employer-paid medical (for individuals and immediate family members) and dental (for individual, 75% for family members), 114 hours of PTO, 14 holidays, and a 403(b) plan with up to 2% employer match. See the links to the job postings below, and please share with incredible candidates!
