Some user agents have implemented text-decoration by propagating the decoration to the descendant elements as opposed to simply drawing the decoration through the elements as described above. This was arguably allowed by the looser wording in CSS2.

However, depending on the content you might want to wrap the underlined parts in q, em or strong tags and style these tags instead of using a class. That way you would be describing your content as well as styling it.

I ran into a similar issue when using an external theme/CSS, so I couldn't modify it to remove the text-decoration: none;. In my case, I had a child element with a link, but the link wasn't being underlined as expected. I tried using display: inline-block; as others mentioned, but it has no effect.

One option that could be useful is to allow modifying the decoration of a text that has already been defined as a text style, because that way you do not have to create two or more text styles to simply add the decoration. Yes, I would love if text styles could have overrides just like components. The connection to the style would remain, but the properties of weight, size, underline, italics, strike-through, line height, letter spacing, paragraph spacing, advanced type settings could be overridden. When a style is updated, any property not overridden would get automatically get applied and it would be possible to reset overrides.

Yes! Being able to override individual parts of a text style without breaking the link would be great, just as it works with components. At the very least decorations and capitalization transformations.

It seems odd to me that list style can be overridden but decoration not. So I wholeheartedly support the idea of making text styles overwritable in a similar fashion to components.

I am using Nightly on Linux (XFCE).

Suddenly, the window decoration changed and is not the same as the one I set up for the environment.

What setting do I change in order to make it use the environment window decoration?

I moved a household from their residential lot onto a different lot. this household also owns a rental residential lot, but didn't live on it. At the new lot, I moved the decoration box from the household inventory, then tried to remove existing decorations that were on the house for some reason (left over from their previous lot? I didn't put anything on the eaves and foundations on this new lot). but the options are greyed out and when hovering over, there is a message that says "(sim) does not own this lot."

I've had a similar issue and I don't own For Rent. I've moved from the Evergreen Harbour apartment to the Windenburg house, and I've had my decoration box in inventory, when I placed the box, it said that I cannot decorate since I don't own a lot. Replacing the box did solve the issue tho.
