Be sure to read the release notes for the version of software that you plan to install. Release notes provide details on API changes, known issues, fixes, workarounds, and deprecations for recent software releases.

A release candidate (RC) build of software is typically the final beta before a major release of the software to customers. When release candidates of Xcode and operating systems become available, use them to develop, test, and submit your apps to App Store Connect.

Beta versions of Xcode include support for the lastest SDKs for creating apps that run on upcoming releases of an operating system. Once you have Xcode installed, you can download the platforms you would like to develop for directly from Xcode.

AirPods beta firmware for Apple Developer Program members enables development of features on iOS and macOS for AirPods. It also enables debugging of issues by Apple with log collection. This release includes new features like Adaptive Audio, Personalized Volume, and Conversation Awareness, and improvements to Automatic Switching and call controls.

Safari Technology Preview gives you an early look at upcoming web technologies on Apple platforms. Get the latest layout technologies, visual effects, developer tools, and more, so you can provide input on how they are implemented and deliver best-in-class experiences on Apple devices.

TestFlight makes it easy to invite users to test your apps before releasing your apps on the App Store. You can invite up to 10,000 testers using just their email address or by sharing a public link to gather valuable feedback from users running your app on beta OS software.

I'm having trouble downloading the profile for the IOS 10 public beta. When I go to beta.apple.com/profile on Safari and log in, it just redirects back to the log in page. I tried leaving the beta program and signing back up but the same thing keeps happening. It never gives me the option to download the profile

When I use Chrome, something downloads but my phone doesn't do anything. The profile doesn't show up in my settings. Chrome just asks me to open the download in Google Drive. I've tried restarting my phone but the same thing happens.

ssame problem here too - happens on both my 5s and mini 2 both of which run the iOS 9.3.3 public beta 5. Really frustrating me now. Especially since I was emailed by Apple to try the new software. I've been trying for 2 days at various times of the day. Help anyone?

Elizabeth - don't know if your sorted yet but I managed to download iOS 10 by deleting my iOS 9 beta profile and the signing into the beta site with a different Apple ID. Maybe that would work for you too?

I tried several times to install the public beta iOS profile on my iphone 6s running iOS 9.3.2. I get a prompt from Safari saying:"Safari could not install profile due to an unknown error.". I resetted my phone and also restored it with iTunes and iget the same error. Any solutions?

I think at this point it sounds like most people on the forum are all having the same issue installing the public beta profile meaning its likely the link is broken or Apple has purposely done something and will be updating ot fixing this, or waiting until the release of iOS 10 Public Beta and then refreshing the public beta site and links to download profile. I'm also experiencing the same issue when clicking the link but I already have an iOS9 profile installed (although expired now as of July 1st) and running 9.3.3 Beta 4. I'm going to just wait until the release of iOS 10 Public beta to see the result.

Just to mention I have the same problem Just to add one thing I tryied I use the link on Chrome to download the profile file I was able to Download the file but I cannot find a way to run it on iOS I guess some problem in safari or they block it on 9.3.2 Good luck

so i downloaded the new firefox browser and clicked on the download button - firefox will give an error that downloads are still not supported it will take you to safari and this will automatically prompt you to install the profile ?

Instead of using beta profile files that could be downloaded onto your device as before (the files that you downloaded from this website), you will now have to use an Apple ID that participated in the Apple Developer Program (for Developer betas) or the Apple Beta Software Program (for Public Betas).

As their name suggests, the Developer beta are intended for developers to test their apps before releasing them to the public. The Developer beta is usually released a few days earlier than the Public beta. However, the first Developer beta version is usually released immediately after the opening keynote of Apple's annual WWDC (in early June), while the first Public beta version is typically released about a month later (usually in July).

To continue using beta software on your device in the future, you should join one of the two programs mentioned above because Apple will no longer release beta profile files for iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 and later.

To join the Apple Beta Software Program, please visit beta.apple.com. Tap on Sign up button, then log in with your Apple ID.You can use a different Apple ID to join, it doesn't have to be the Apple ID you're signed in with on your device.

I am transferring data from iPhone 14 Pro Max, with IOS 17 beta, to another iPhone 14 Pro Max which is brand new. In order to do that, the new iPhone tells me I need to continue to be in the Beta Program. However, when I try to re-enroll through the new iPhone 14 Pro Max, the re-enrollment fails. There is no other message besides Re-Enroll FAILED. How can I solve this? I am unable to transfer at this point.

I found a solution/workaround. Use an iCloud backup to at least set up your new phone to IOS 16. Once you're into it, update your new phone to IOS 17. After it's updated you can erase all data on the phone and try setting it up again.

Whenever I go to beta.apple.com, I see the same blue Sign Up button that I'm assuming everyone else sees. However (and I have been having this issue for years), when I click it and go to the following sign-in-with-Apple-ID page and subsequently fill out 2FA authentication, I am simply taken back to beta.apple.com.

As you can see, implied by the "Sign Out" link in the top right, I'm signed in. The page simply reloads as the main beta site at beta.apple.com and displays the Sign Up button rather than Get Started.

I very much doubt this is a device-specific issue so I'm not sure that setting up another admin or starting up in Safe Mode will do anything. I have tried to sign up for Apple Beta on my iPhone 6s as well and have the same exact symptoms.

This post got removed from Apple Support Communities due to me talking about beta software.... so I'm trying to get help over here since that's what the automatically generated email about the removal told me to do... even though the developer Email support already told me that they can't give me support on public beta program since it's not their job. I'm really struggling to get in contact with someone responsible for the public beta program!

I've used the public beta program in the past (iOS 13 public beta I think) so I already have an account which I can use to login on However I can't register ( ) any device and I also can't deregister ( ) any device. I always get redirected to the welcome page straight after visiting these sites - they don't even load! ( )

Not resolved as of yet. I'm still facing this issue, and now with beta profiles no longer being a thing, I can't even use my work Apple ID to get beta software unless I log out of my iPhone and use that Apple ID. Frustrating.

I've submitted an iOS beta Testflight build for external testing on Jan 9th and it went into review that same day and has not changed status since. Normally it's only a few days as our previous beta took 2 days and it was a few days before. However, it's been over 2 weeks and counting so far.

There is no way to contact our review team, so I'm not sure what's going on or if its some kind of fall back from the "holiday rush". Has anyone else been experiencing these long app beta review times? AppReviewTimes.com is reporting an impressive 2 days for full app reviews.

I noticed that TestFlight seems to have stopped updating Channels on all my Apple TV's. I tried deleting TestFlight and the Channels DVR Beta off all devices and then re-enrolling in the Beta. Installed TestFlight, let it add the Channels DVR back. But that is the last time the update ran on its own. I have to run the updates manually. The setting to update automatically is on in both the Beta and in TestFlight.

I just checked... Channels has not updated since the update to tvOS 17, i think?
The last build i had installed, 10.3.2028 That fix the atsc 3.0 tuning speed.
It has not auto updated since.
It the only testflight app i have, so cant say for sure, but i bet it is an issue/bug with tvOS 17/17.1

I am experiencing this also on my two AppleTVs. My other iOS/iPadOS devices update automatically without issue. All are on their latest respective OS release versions. I cannot tell if this is a TestFlight issue or not as Channels is my only enrolled beta app on AppleTV.

I think I found the solution to this problem. While I already had auto updates turned on in the AppleTV TestFlight settings it was not updating. But I figured out if you go into the Channels in TestFlight click the three dots next to Builds, the top setting was to Turn ON Automatic Updates. I chose that, and today it updated on its own. Hope this helps.

Yea weirdly enough ever since iOS 17 beta started none of my devices auto update TestFlight builds like before. Even with a restore. Might have something to do with some left over file and theres no way to clear any of that without a jailbreak

TestFlight betas do require a review. To be honest that also came as a surprise for us. There is another unforeseen issue with a naming conflict in the Store which delay the beta release. We are considering starting the beta without the store. I hope I have updates on this next week. Thanks for your patience!
