India is a land of festivals and fairs. One of the biggest festivals celebrated across the country is Navratri. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Mumbai-Ahmedabad to Bihar-Bengal, this Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Durga is celebrated by one and all. As we begin Navratri 2018 celebrations from October 10, we witness many customs and traditions. Navratri songs, Durga bhakti geet, aarti and bhajans are an important part of the festivities. Navratri 2018 festival will continue till October 18, Thursday. It began with Shailputri Puja on the first day and will conclude with Siddhidatri Puja on the ninth and final day. Durga Puja also is known as Durgotsava will commence from October 15 and last until October 19. It is popular in the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and other eastern parts of the country. Irrespective of different ways of celebrations, Bhojpuri and Maithili devotional songs are bound to be a hit among the masses.
