The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited online applications for the recruitment of 650 ‘ *Assistant’* posts.

• Ahmedabad: 01 Post
• Bengaluru: 01 Post
• Bhopal: 01 Post (Backlog)
• Bhubaneswar: 01 Post (Backlog)
• Chandigarh: 01 Post
• Chennai: 01 Post
• Guwahati: 01 Post
(Note: Other offices do not have any VI vacancies this time.)

*Important Language Rule (LPT):*
You can only apply for an office if you are proficient in its local language (i.e., you must know how to read, write, speak, and understand it). Passing the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) after the Main exam is mandatory.

*Scribe & Compensatory Time:*
• Scribe Facility: Candidates with Blindness are eligible to use their own scribe.
• Scribe Qualification: One step below the candidate’s qualification.
• Compensatory Time: 20 extra minutes per hour for candidates with 40% or more visual impairment (and those using a scribe).

*Important Dates*
• Application Start Date: 16 February 2026
• Last Date to Apply: 08 March 2026
• Preliminary Exam: 11 April 2026 (Tentative)
• Main Exam: 07 June 2026 (Tentative)

*Eligibility Criteria (as on 01.02.2026)*
• Age Limit: 20 to 28 years
• PwBD candidates get 10 years relaxation (up to 38 years).
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• PwBD Relaxation: Pass class is sufficient (50% marks not required).

*Application Fee*
• PwBD / SC / ST / EXS: ₹50 + 18% GST
• General / OBC / EWS: ₹450 + 18% GST

 *Selection Process*
• Preliminary Exam: 100 Marks
• Main Exam: 200 Marks
• Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Local language test
