TheGates Fire District is an emergency services organization which provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services to a diverse community. We are committed to the preservation of life, property and the environment. Through education, training and public awareness we will enhance the quality of life and the safety of the citizens we proudly serve.

Firefighters at the incident command center for the Beachie Creek wildfire work to extinguish the blaze that started when high winds blew trees into power lines on Sept. 7, 2020. About a hundred members of the Beachie Creek firefighting team were forced to evacuate their camp at Gates School that night and relocate their command center to Salem.

Per Fire Safe Standards Sec 13-38, gate entrances shall be at least two feet (2') wider than the width of the traffic lane(s) serving the gate.

All gates providing access from a road to a driveway shall be located at least thirty feet (30') from the roadway and shall open to allow a vehicle to stop without obstructing traffic on the roadway.

Where a gated entrance is locked, a Knox Box or other emergency release device approved by the County Fire Chief shall be provided for emergency access.

Per California Fire Code Chapter 5, Section 506 and Fire Safe Standards Section 13-38 (c) any gate which is existing and does not have the approved Knox Box device will be required at any time to provide the approved device at the discretion of the Fire Code Official.

Other itemization and skill choices should be obvious, except cinderplate girdle that I used for converting massive pierce on forcewave to fire. The build also features 6 craftable equipment for potentially super high armor when crafted by arngrim.

Standard procedure:

Press to activate Word of Renewal. Ensure it to always be active and/or save it for heal

Blitz in, spreading eldritch fire

Cast Inquisitor seal below you

Scroll up/down to cast Word of Pain, triggering Meteor Shower

Hold LMB to obliterate, while mashing Blitz button

BTW, obviously a cool take on a very trivial and common type of build. Me and John were discussing it in discord lately and came up with some ideas on how to improve your constellation map. One of the ideas that John had (and I agree) is to include Dying God.

A right-of-way for public street purpose may not be closed by use of a security gate. State Law prohibits the closure of Public Streets in a way that would allow only a select group the right of passage.

When required for Fire Department access shall be maintained unobstructed and in good condition for vehicular usage at all times. The Fire Department may allow closure by approved security gates that comply with the following standards:

Gates shall not reduce the required roadway width to less than the minimum width required by the Fire Department ( 20 ft. free and clear, see attachment). Adequate stacking lane shall be provided based on the projected volume of traffic for the project. The stacking lane is for visitor traffic waiting for permission to enter through gate, without blocking the cross street (see attachment).

When closed and locked, manually operated gates shall be locked with a chain and padlock. The chain shall be limited to 3/8 inch diameter non-case hardened metal links. Multiple padlocks may be used as links of the chain.

Many wildfire educational programs, along with the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) recommend non-combustible fencing and gate products when placed within five feet of a building. This short IBHS video shows how easily combustible fences can be ignited by embers and in turn ignite homes if attached to the structure. A non-combustible gate between the fence and the home can provide significant ignition protection.

Using non-combustible fencing/gates where they attach to the building reduces the opportunity of a burning fence or gate igniting the exterior of the structure. Fencing products are often available in eight-foot pieces and use of that full section of non-combustible material is recommended. Observations made during the 2012 Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado Springs, CO provided evidence that burning fencing generates embers that can result in additional ignitions downwind.

Recent research conducted by IBHS and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), both independently and in a collaborative project, provided additional information about the vulnerability of combustible fencing.

When neighboring buildings are within 20 feet of each other, using steel fencing for the perimeter area can serve as a radiant barrier, providing added protection should a neighboring building ignite and burn. Research in Australia demonstrated the ability of panelized steel fencing to resist radiant heat exposure. There are many options and styles available including wood grain look and vibrant colors.

Fiber cement is a noncombustible product composed of cement, sand and cellulose fibers. The product comes in many different styles, heights and colors with texture options that can mimic a wood fence.

There are many noncombustible gate options to choose from. Several manufacturers have ready made steel and aluminum gates in a variety of styles and colors. Hardie board is a good option and if privacy is not a major concern, hogwire gates are a less expensive option. Many manufacturers that can fabricate a custom ornamental metal gate.

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) published results of 187 experiments that examined how fire spread toward a structure is affected by combustible fences and mulch under conditions that may be encountered in a wildland-urban interface (WUI) fire. The research generated a number of recommendations:

Gates of Fire match winners are determined by a best-of-three rounds system. Each round lasts for 4 minutes. Whichever team can fly the Flag through the most consecutive Gates in one round is declared the winner of that round. If the round ends with both teams conquering the same number of Gates, the round is considered a draw. One team flying the flag through all eight Gates in the round is the immediate winner, ending the round regardless of remaining time.

The first team to win two rounds is declared victor. If one round is won by each team alongside a draw, the match is at a draw, causing an overtime round to be played. Whoever wins this overtime round is the victor of the match.

The Flag spawns 10 seconds after round start. It spawns in one of two random locations depending on the map. As it spawns, a shockwave pulses out from the Flag pickup, pushing players away and clearing any Smoke in the region.

The Flag is picked up by flying through it, and picking it up restores 2 Stamina pips. The Flagbearer is marked onscreen at all times for both teams. The bearer themselves cannot use any abilities or attacks while holding the Flag, making them vulnerable and in need of protection by their team.

When the Flag is picked up, a notification is played across the screen notifying both teams that an enemy or ally has the flag. A small icon is present in the corner of the screen showing a red or blue colored diamond, signifying team ownership, followed by the name of the current Flagbearer.

Dropping the Flag and having it subsequently picked up by the enemy team results in a reset of the active Gate count by the team, resetting progress towards the goal and giving the enemy team a chance to score more consecutive gates.

The namesake of Gates of Fire are the gates that the player must pass through to progress towards winning. A Gate is two pillars with a light golden glow between them when active. To 'score' a Gate, the player must fly through the golden section between the two pillars with the Flag. The next Gate then becomes active and glows, requiring the player to continue passing through Gates to win.

There are a total of eight Gates to pass through. Passing through all eight at once during one team's ownership of the Flag constitutes an immediate win of the round. This does not require a single person to do - so long as the Flag is owned by the same team, Gates are counted as consecutive.

The directionality of the Gates - clockwise or counter-clockwise around the map - depends on the initial direction the first player takes through a Gate with the Flag. This can be changed mid-round if the Flag is dropped, picked up by the enemy team, and this player goes the opposite direction of the previous Flagbearer.

Rounds will go into overtime for as long as the losing team holds the Flag. This overtime period lasts 15 seconds, resetting each time a Gate is flown through, which gives the losing team a chance to score the last few Gates it needs to win a round.

Marking his auction debut in Asia, Phillips in Assocation with Poly Auction are pleased to present this tremendous work from his celebrated Civil Tapestry series, Dirty Red - not just the largest work from this series to come to auction, but also the largest work by Gates to have ever come on the market. Comprised of colourful red strips of decommissioned fire hoses that are tonally arranged and stitched together, Dirty Red is monumental both in size and in historical meaning and importance, powerfully makeing reference to the civil rights struggles in the United States, specifically those that took place in 1960s Birmingham, Alabama.
