Dear All,
We need to know if the voice of Nigerians in Edmonton counts more than a
selected few who are in the NAA Executive. Mr. Nnamani, I personally do not
believe in your ability to lead NAA. In Nigeria, people behave the way they like
because the laws of the land are worthless. However, in Canada there is so much
sanity because people are governed by the rule of law. Some of us moved here
because we wanted sanity, integrity, honesty, transparency and above all we
wanted a place where we can excel in a honest manner.
In April 2010, I was at the NAA House for the Nigerian passport processing,
where it was posted on the door that we needed to pay $50 per family prior to
passport processing. As I went into the processing room one Miss/Mrs Ngede (I
believe is the Secretary) told me that I have to pay $100 for my family before
the passport processing could commence. I told her
a family friend was here
yesterday and he paid $50 for his family, I called my friend who spoke with
Miss/Mrs Ngede, after going back and forth she later said OK bring $50 (no
receipt was issued) which I paid before processing the passport. This incident
got me a little worried about the administration of NAA. I equally saw Mr.
Nnamani dipping his hand into his pocket to bring out some change which he gave
to Mr. Kelechi Madu to get the Nigerian Immigration officials some oranges ( I
do not see this act as being a nice gesture but rather a means to
unaccountability).
When some of us immigrated to this country we refuse to learn about what
actually made Canada as a country desired for immigration from Nigeria. We
refuse to pick up new ideas and understand how the system works here.
Administration is not a child's play as it may seem and there are no excuses for
low performance level. Mr Nnamani, have
you ever questioned your mind if you are
truly rendering a selfless service? Have you personally justified your
performance level from Canadian perspective not Nigerian where most government
officials care less about what they can contribute to the system? Are you only
interested in the office and get a swollen head once you are called Presido? Are
you sure your hands are clean of fund misappropriation? Why can't you consider
the voice of the majority, as they implied that your welcome is becoming
over-stayed? Mr. Nnamani I believe you know what to do. Can't we have an
undisclosed external financial audit done on the NAA? This is a just cause that
is worth pursuing, don't take it personal. My personal opinion is that in every
situation Nigerians deserve the best to serve them.
To all, I became really interested in this episode because I had seen a Nigerian
been shown on CTV as he commits Credit
Card fraud, I have read in the newspaper
of a Nigerian lady that defrauded STARS in Calgary, tonnes of financial
atrocities in Toronto are associated with Nigerians (investigated and confirmed
cases). Are you not bothered about these news? Can't we prove the media wrong?
Can't we save our face by doing the right things? If you believe these non-sense
do not concern you it may rub-off on your children. We are not regarded as
dignified world citizen any more once we identify with Nigeria.
Mr. Nnamani can you please confirm the date, time and venue for the next
meeting?
Merry christmas and a happy new year to you all.
Regards,
Ayo.

Subject: Re: NAA General Meeting of December 19
Nnamani Ndubuisi is the most ridiculous and insensitive element I've ever known
in my life. I will not waste my time to respond to the specifics of this email
because in the first instance, you and your "selected" board member were the
architect of NAA present predicament.
But for you to state that some Nigerians came to inflict physical injuries on
other Nigerians at the NAA general meeting held on 19th December 2010 was a
blatant lie. As a matter of fact, this unfounded allegation underscores my
position that you, Nnamani Ndubuisi, lacks the moral fibre to be a leader. Your
expectation is that Nigerians should swallow tranquilizing pill of gradualism
and allow you to keep running NAA affairs in "same old, same old" ways.
People
of your generation have done enough harm to Nigeria as a country, I will not sit
down and allow you to destroy Nigerian community in Canada. We will demand for
transparency and accountability in the operations of NAA affairs.
For your information, Idowu Ohioze is not the only one calling for sanity in
NAA. He has got companies in calling on the city of Edmonton to help us look
into the affairs of NAA. It is obvious that Ndubuisi and his "selected" board
member do not want internal resolution, we shall call on the City of Edmonton
and AGC
