Subject: Re: My Apology to the NAA.
DISCLAIMERI, Ayeni Joseph O., write to disclaim in its entirety the contents and letters of the e-mail dated January 9th, 2011 from an e-mail account joseph....@gmail.com. I write to inform all my people that my identity was stolen to write the apology message. This naked case of identity theft is an unexpected ugly occurrence in Nigerian community in Edmonton. To set my record straight;(1) I have never used e-mail account joseph....@gmail.com in my day to day communications whether on NAA issues or elsewhere. I want Nigerians to check all my e-mail correspondence to confirm this.(11) I do not attach my name, academic information or my phone number with my gmail account.Whoever stole my identity to write this e-mail poses serious threat to the safety and security of my family (Wife and kids): we don't feel secure anymore. In light of this, I have decided to take this case of identity theft up with Edmonton Police to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to book and to be sure that our lives are not in danger. However, I will like to reiterate my commitment to the call for sanity, accountability and transparency in NAA. I stand by all my e-mail calling on NAA board to present the account of our association and stop running from pillars to poles. It is sad that some Nigerians have condescended so low to be employing fraudulent means to cover up mesh in NAA. I once again call on NAA board to present the statement of NAA bank account(s) and account of NAA events for year 2009 and 2010.I, Ayeni Joseph, will also use this medium to re-state some of the hot issues in NAA that need immediate clarification from the board of NAA1) NAA has been collecting membership fee without issuing receipt or in some cases issuing recepit without NAA seal. This does not give room for accountability.11) NAA allegedly spent about $50000 (fifty thousand dollars) on Nigeria day 2010 alone. What of 2009 Nigeria day, Heritage etc. It will be good if the board of NAA will make the account of the association available for member who will like to inspect it.111) There is a report that NAA is owning over $250000 (Two hundred and fifty thousand dollar) as loan to a bank in Edmonton under the present board of NAA. I think NIgerians deserve to know the thruth!1V) There is report that the present NAA board is trying to get more loan/line of credit to run the association.V) Every association in Alberta is funded by AGLC every year to the tone of hundred of thousands of dollars (at least $200,0000/year; two hundred thousand dollars per year). How has our association spent all the money.I think this time around, the board of NAA will take the honorable part of accountability and transparency. Anything short of this will imply that the incorruptible Canadian legal system will be our moderator.JosephOn Sun, Jan 9, 2011 at 7:23 PM, Olumide Ogundipe <polu...@gmail.com> wrote:

Dear my people,I deeply regret all my emails and contributions attacking the present NAA board. I am sorry because I do not have any material facs in what I claimed about the NAA, and I misrepresented the fact about NAA statement of account in an email dated Dec. 28th, 2010. I send my sincere apology to the NAA President, Dr. Ndubuisi Nnamani, and all his hard working executives. It has done on me that serving on the NAA is a volunteer position, and we do not need to crucify or criticize those who have devoted their time and energy to serve us in any capacity. This email serves as a withdrawal to all the previous emails I have posted on this forum. Please, accept my sincere apology. Long live NAA, Long live Nigeria.--Joseph O., Ayeni

Subject: Re: Fw: My Apology to the NAA.
I, Onyeaka Ngozi Ayeni, write to disclaim the e-mail dated January 9th, 2011 (forwarded to me on 10th) written in my husband's name (Joseph Ayeni). I and my husband maitain that his identity was stolen by someone (somepersons) in Nigerian community as an attempt to derail the genuine call for NAA board to be responsive and responsible to NAA members and Edmonton community.
This ugly occurrence further reinforces the fact that Nigerian community has decayed beyond repair. Though I did not want to react to the ongoing legitimate call for accountability and transparency in the running of NAA affairs but I have to speak out now because someone or some persons have just treaded on the tail of a lion(Agu); stealing my husband's information to write disgusting e-mail.
It surprises me that in a place like Canada and in the 21 century, people could still be acting stupidly and fraudulently by stealing someones identity. My beloved husband came out to preach the gospel of TRUTH and accountability to Nnamani and NAA board but they refused to accept it instead some fraudsters went ahead to steal his identity just to cover up their mischief. My family will take this seriuosly because,if someperson(s) can go to this extent of opening an email account in my husband's name using his academic demography, then we have reasons to believe that our lives and finances are definitely in serious danger and we feel our kids' lives are no longer secured. I will take it upon my self to report this to the Edmonton police unfailingly to ensure that whoever did this unspeakable evil is not planning something bigger and more damaging to my family.
In the mean time however, I stand on the same ground with my husband in demanding that the statement account of the NAA be made available with immediate effect for members to peruse as empowered by section VIII of the NAA constitution. Sincerely speaking, why is it so difficult for the board of NAA to present the account of their stewardship to the association? Secondly,if NAA leadership is a volunteer service, why is the present NAA leadership trying to stay in power by all means and at all cost? Anyway , these are questions for Nigerians to think about.
As far as my husband and I are concerned, we are coming from a rich history of sincerity, accountability and transparency, no threat nor identity theft will deter us from embracing moral probity and social sanity. To the person(s) who stole my husband identity, I say to you: you cannot escape justice.Bye for now
