I am new to the paypal. I am having problem how to link my bank account to netflix as they required credit card or debit card which it is usa but i am from canada so how that work when i click on netflix and need put paypal but they still want credit card or debit so how that work so can you explain how?
It sounds like you need to link your bank account to your PayPal account and then set up your Netflix account. You can add your bank account by logging into your PayPal account, click on profile, click Bank Accounts under Financial Information (If you do not see this step, Follow the instructions below), click Add, enter requested information and then click Continue, review the information and click Add Bank Account.
How about the fact that paypal seems to keep not fixing my account when i had mine linked to pay through my bank account all was fine till this month then all of a sudden it changes to my credit card i did nothing to change it and you guys at paypal blamed it on me when i did nothing to change it and its still not fixed yet even though you guys keep saying it is.
I have already linked my bank account to Paypal and it is verified. Everytime I try to set up the free trial with Netflix it asks for my Credit Card or Debit card info. I don't have a credit card linked to my Paypal account. My nephew has his Netflix fees coming out of his bank account and I want to do the same. I just can't get it to ask me to set it up using my bank account instead of a credit card.
I signed up for netflix using my paypal account however it keeps asking me for a crdit card. I dont have one because I only use debit and I cant afford any more debt. lol. 8 bucks a month is affordable. why doesnt netflix add a call my cellphone feature when setting this up and just get the account number and allow us to pay that way. I dont think a prepaid card would be wise considering it costs 4.99 to use once per transaction. if thats th case, netflix just wants to rip us off.... is that the case? I hate th fact paypal and netflix havent made a "partner" payment option whereas netflix is so big and everything.
how do i set up my debit. i have everything confirmed but still it asks me for credit card.......... if it doesnt work im afraid it will charge me in a month for a netflix account i cant even use.... my friend has hers set up and im just wondering why my debit wouldnt work ....
I have already linked 2 of my Bank Accounts to my Paypal profile & there is enough money to pay the monthly fees for my Netflix membership of $8/month. How will Netflix receive their $8 per. month--Will it be taken of the balance in my Paypal account or will it be charged to the card they are demanding I provide them with?
When I called "Kristi"/"Christy" over at Netflix she could not tell me how I would be charged for the monthly fee. She said all they receive is an email from Paypal saying that the money will be given to Netflix. This correspondence never explains how.
I do not want the monthly fee coming from my Debit card. I want the monthly fee to be taken out of the balance on my Paypal account. She told me my question is for the people at Paypal. So, Will it be taken of the monthly fee to maintain my Netflix account ($8 per month) be taken from my Paypal account or will it be charged to the Debit card they are demanding I provide them with?
First of all, I am sorry you are having so much trouble getting Netflix set up. I did go directly to the Netflix.com website and went through the sign-up/check-out flow and was able to select PayPal as a payment method. I was then directed to sign into my PayPal account. I do know that Netflix requires an instant payment which would require a credit card to be linked to your PayPal account. When you add a credit card to your PayPal account this does not mean you have to use the credit card as the funding source.
I am very glad to hear this. & yes, it is a complicated process but I think Netflix should be made aware of how payment will work. This seems to be a common question & I do not know why no one explains this to them.
Hello, long time user of paypal, first time with a question. Ive had my paypal all set up with my bank card and have been using it to pay for netflix for about 4-5 months now. However, I woke up this morning to find a email from them saying my account is on hold because they could not porcess my paypal information.
so... i check my profile there... found nothing wrong. checked my profile here... found nothing out of the ordinary. no fees owed or anything like that. Call netflix custommer service line... they tell me to make sure nothing is wrong here.
Now, i did have some trouble a month ago when netflix charged to my paypal, my paypal charged my bank.. to find no money(overspent on christmas, forgot about the incomming charge) so I had to fix those fees, which I did. So im really not sure what is wrong. is paypal angry with me and no longer allowing things to be processed through my bank account? it doesnt seem so, as ive spent money at other sites just fine. I'm really just kinda stuck and confused... any ideas?
I have exactly the same issue. Ive been a Netflix customer for years and Use PayPal for many daily transactions. Today I received an email saying payment wasnt processed, now I can only enter a credit card.
Same issue. The problem is with NETFLIX. PayPal claims Netflix changed the payment parameters so the paypal account needs to be verified by a credit card. I wasted an entire day, and got bounced back & forth. Netflix said it was Paypal's issue, and Paypal said it was Netflix. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE due to the fact that neither company, even the supervisors did not appear to know what the heck is going on? Pathetic. 4 phone calls!!!
I transfer funds from my bank account to my paypal account. The money is just sitting there waiting for Netflix to take it, but they will not because i have no credit card? There is no reason they need one. When talking to Netflix, the CSR even said they don't need to verify a paypal account, and they could not understand why the subscription process demands a credit card. Despite this I can't complete my account with Netflix without a credit card.
By allowing Sky to take over your billing for your existing Netflix account, Sky will pay Netflix out of your Sky Stream subscription payment, rather than Netflix charging your PayPal account. Everything else stays the same: same Netflix username, password, watchlists, viewing history, user profiles etc. You can still watch Netflix using the same account on a phone, a tablet etc.
If you want to use a Netflix tier higher than the basic-with-ads, you can pay step up to a higher tier using either My Sky on your phone/tablet or via My Sky on your Stream puck and pay the difference via your Sky bill.
The reason is I pay for netflix by my partner pays for sky. We don't want to change that that arrangement, I do appreciate that a basic netflix comes with sky but we have the ultra HD and happy to ignore the "sky" netflix account altogether.
If you want to not use the free Netflix you get with Sky and continue to pay Netflix separately then you either cant use the Netflix app on Sky or you need to create a new Netflix account and use that to link to Sky, so essentially paying for Netflix twice (albeit one is essentially paid for via your Sky sub).
Netflix wont allow my paypal as my payment method. It keeps saying somethings wrong with my paypal account. I have called netflix and they say it is an issue with my account. However netflix appears as active in my account.
If Netflix already appears on your Manage Automatic Payments page of your PayPal account then you're set. Netflix will automatically withdraw the amount due each month and you'll receive a PayPal receipt when that happens.
Is PayPal not listed in your Netflix account as the payment method? If it is not, go back to the Manage Automatic Payment page and cancel the active Netflix profile there. And then go to Netflix and re-link your account. I also suspect that you can only set up one PayPal account at a time as PayPal method and and any active Automatic Payment profile to Netflix has to be canceled first.
i already canceled active subscribtion on paypal then canceled my account on netflix and tried to restart the membership but it still gives me the same message that "There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use."
The entire reason I got paypal was to be able to pay for netflix, because on the website it says nothing about having to link a credit card to your paypal to be able to pay for the netflix. When you are signing up for netflix, it says "link a debti OR credit card" so I go through the whole process of verifying my debit card, thinking that I will be able to use netflix, and then I go to pay again and at the top it says "you must have a credit card to complete this transaction"
well hey. isn't that something I would have liked to know before GETTING PAY PAL IN THE FIRST PLACE OR PUTTING MY INFORMATION ONLINE.
I have the same problem, and I don't know why. The other card that is linked to my bank account is only a debit card, and Netflix regularly takes that card. But not the PayPal Debit Mastercard. This makes no sense to me, and I wonder if it is a PayPal issue or a Netflix issue?
I have a debit card linked to my paypal. i use it for WoW and spotify but when I try tot use netflix, it say there is a problem with my card. I checked my bank i have the money, so i dont see what the probelm is.
