Postdoctoral Fellowship at the UFRGS Institute of Physics in Porto Alegre

A postdoctoral fellowship is available for the project titled “Identification of Extreme Precipitation Events Using Artificial Intelligence Tools”.

This is a FAPERGS fellowship with a duration of two years and a monthly stipend of R$ 5200. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Professors Carolina Brito and Marco Idiart at the UFRGS Institute of Physics.

Candidate Profile:

●      Holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, or related fields.

●      Proficient in programming with Python or R.

●      Has experience in data analysis using artificial intelligence.

●      Familiarity with the Keras API (or equivalent) and the TensorFlow library is desirable.

●      Knowledge of or motivation to work with climatology and/or meteorology data is a plus.
