"Networking for a Cause" Sep 2010
The
last Thursday of the month is coming again and NAAAP San Diego is proud
to bring you the 8th event in our increasingly popular "Networking for a
Cause" mixers. Please join us on Thursday, September 30th at 6:00 PM at Saigon on Fifth, winner of San Diego's Best Vietnamese Restaurant for 2010 by San Diego Union Tribune. Attendees will receive a delicious set of hors d'oeuvres.
A portion of our net proceeds from this month's event goes to support the Vietnamese American Youth Alliance (V.A.Y.A);
a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization
founded in 2004 as a means for Vietnamese American youth to organize
socially and culturally within their local communities. Our donation
will help fund the Lunar New Year Tet Festival; VAYA's flagship event of
the year which attracts over 20,000 attendees per year. Festival
highlights include numerous Vietnamese performance groups, cultural
activities and foods from several Vietnamese restaurants all supported
by hundreds of youth volunteers.
