I was the president of Olmos Park Terrace. N.A. For a number of years
And we used signs made on a
Wooden stand , they were heavy,we now use signs
from Allied , it is a great reminder
about N. A. Meetings and it works.

I did just that. I asked permission from the homeowner so they weren’t against code. People stole them! All but one! I passed out signs twice. The other time some were stolen some were taken of their stake.

Lisa,

How are you and your family?  I hope you are all well.  I wish you a wonderful holiday and hope I see you at one of the neighborhood parties.  Carolyn

I guess that means you shouldn't make the signs too swanky ;-)

We tried the signs in Lavaca Neighborhood with mixed results.  Some were stolen, some "lost". Some people "forgot" to put them out, and some were appreciated by a few people.

I have wondered a thousand times how many interested people it really takes to keep our republic alive?

Have  you seen those 3"x3" SALE post-it notes on the Express News?  I would love to find out what it would cost to attach them to the neighborhood newspapers.  I think they are the most innovative sign I have seen in a long time.

Hi Joan,

When/Where is your Lavaca Holiday party?  I would love to attend and catch up on old friends if I can.  I hope you and Bob are well!

Is North Central having a party?  If so, I would like to come by if I can, and say hello.  Glad to hear you are well.  Carolyn

No we aren’t having a party. I am still struggling with getting people involved. I have 30 members on Nextdoor.com but they all don’t show up. I honestly feel like giving up. One time Diego sent out 1,000 invites to a meeting to discuss boundary changes. 15 people showed up. I am so busy. I get these great people to show up to discuss really important matters and theres maybe 15. Then on Nextdoor.com where you can discuss things they just criticize how things are being done and start arguing among themselves. Its downright annoying. Tonite we have a meeting and I didn’t invite a guest. I guess we will discuss matters at hand and how to get people involved. I have so much on my plate. I run a business, my family (kids still in school) and I take care of my parents down the street. I make time for our neighborhood, but others feel they are too busy to show up. Ugh. I am pretty bummed.

Hi Lisa,

Do you want advice from a friend who has been there?  I never give advice unless asked. J

OMG.  Do you believe I didn’t realize I was still on the group mail?

Leave it to Joan to say just the right thing.   Sending thoughts and prayers your way, Lisa!

Hello,
It would be great if people could figure out how to send/continue personal conversations outside of group mail.  I know this is difficult, but otherwise multiple emails arrive in group boxes that don't concern us and in some cases seem a little more than personal.
Just wondering if there's a solution to this in the future.
Respectfully,
John H

Hi folks.  Hope everyone is gearing up and getting ready for Christmas and the other holidays that are encompassed within December.

Although I'm no longer active or a part of NW Los Angeles Heights, I just wanted to wish all of y'all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  I pray next year you are blessed with more than you asked for.

Take care,
Ray Powlesson

John,

There is.  If you want to respond personally, then just click on the person's name that sent the email out and start a "new" message to them.

Hope that helps.

There is no individual names only says naa group. I saw in my inbox the email says from Carolyn Kelly. When I hit reply was looking at my typing and didn’t see it was going to naa group. So then I don’t have Carolyn’s individual email so how would I respond?

Lisa,

If you scroll down in the bodies of the emails, you will see each individual's email address.  I see yours, John, Carolyn's and others as well, unless of course your settings don't reveal them as mine does.
