I am passing this along. I hope this message gets to you. I am not sure about this Google address so I am also sending to Nell. Tobin Hill is asking for RRNA help in getting their neighborhood in the Hawthorne attendance area. Seems unproductive to include commercial property in the attendance area and not the residential.

Attached is the position paper THCA presented at the Dec. 3, 2012 SAISD Board of Trustees meeting regarding exclusion of the entire residential portion of Tobin Hill from Hawthorne’s attendance boundaries.  As THCA was instrumental in moving the 2010 SAISD Bond allotment to Hawthorne from the initial recommendation $0.00 to $18 million, this is especially galling.

 

This is FYI and to ask River Road for any helpful concerns, ideas, questions or suggestions. 

 

Please note that THCA stresses we have no quarrel with any other community currently in the attendance boundaries.  There seems to be agreement that  there is ample capacity for Tobin Hill school children, as far as we could tell from the Trustees  on Dec. 3
