Good day fellow neighborhood leaders & others,

Beacon Hill is looking to rent a Port-A-Potty for our 35th Anniversary party next Saturday. Do any of you have any recommendations for a local company?

I copied Jody and Steve Newman on this email. They rent Port-A-Poties
monthly for First Friday at The Friendly Spot. Perhaps they can recommend
their vendor.

Hello from Shearer Hills/Ridgeview.  I am really amused by all this back and forth email.  We use Google Groups also in our organization for the executive committee members to communicate.  However, as the group owner, I turned off email responding and the members have to go to the group to post.  They all get emails from the group platform, but they cannot respond to the group without signing in to the group.  While it may sound complicated, we have never had these strange emails.  By the way, with all this banter no one has really answered the porta potty questions.  That is probably because our organizations are usually too cheap to provide rest room facilities, and instead expect everyone to hold it in, go home, or otherwise not even come.  I have this same problem with my group. 

I have not seen many meaningful across the board comments so far in this group, other than occasional silly email strings like this one.  Is it really worth while to have this set up like this, is anyone really getting something out of this group?  

Shortly we (Shearer Hills/Ridgeview) will have some important information to share, concerning the location of sobriety homes in neighborhoods without any inspections, licenses or permits.   The five year UDC code revision cycle is coming shortly for the Council, it could be a good thing for us to look at strengthening the code  for any "handicapped" classes of occupancy so that there is at least a habitability inspection.  More to come on this, just start thinking about it.

If you want to reply to someone individually, change who the recipient is under "To" and type in their address there.

Gina at Rep. Villarreal's office has recently tweaked with the settings so that a "Reply" hopefully goes only to the sender, not the whole group.  Hopefully that improves the efficiency.  As to value, although it may appear as if the email string was only silly banter, I rec'd two replies with info for Port-A-Potty rentals and just got off the phone with one of those companies to place an order, so, for me, the silly banter was quite helpful.  Just sayin'...

I'm glad I received you email, although we do rent port-a-potties annually for our Front Porch Sale in River Road...we actually sometimes get two.

My response to  your email, however, is geared towards property use. We are having Home Stays cropping up in our neighborhood. I was glad to get your information re the UDC code revision cycle. this is a great item to share and I'm glad you brought it up.
