to Na Hoa Holomoku of Hawaii Yacht Club members
Aloha, friends and fellow club members,
About 3 years ago, our beloved Rhonda found a stray kitten in the tall grasses at our club. This kitten acted like a tamed house cat, and our hearts melted as he ate canned tuna. He was malnourished but still approached and followed us. I was the only one able to take this cat in. At the very least, so he could get neutered and not make babies. This is when I chose to name him Holomoku, and became the unofficial mascot of the club… Moku for short.
He is litter box trained, but prefers going outside. Hasn't destroyed any furniture, prefers a scratching post. He is indoor/outdoor and cat door trained. He’s a working cat and has done a good job reducing pest populations around the neighborhood. The only thing he lacks is a healthy amount of attention and play throughout the day. Moku is fixed and chipped. If you could offer a home, he will come with an automatic feeder, water fountain, sifting litter box, food, nail trimmers, and a few other helpful things.
If allergies are a concern, he has been enjoying specific egg yolks, which reduce/eliminate the key allergen cats produce in their bodies/saliva. So far, people who have mild cat allergies and interacted with moku have had little to no reaction afterward.
Please reach out if you are interested OR if you think of someone else, please pass along the information.
