Hi there..

I have just a few quick questions about the installation..
I have tried to install the n-tune artist series in my Les Paul, and
the first time I got no sound at all. The pickup switcher works just
fine as the other pickup is working just fine..
Anyways, I found out the wiring from the pickup and pickup switcher
were in terrible condition and upon fixing this I got sound.. yay..

Because I had very little space in my cavity, the white (ground) wire
from the bottom of the n-tune volume control came of so I just
soldered it to the bottom..
And here I could really use your advice.. Perhaps you know whats wrong
and can help me in two seconds rather than me spending hours on trying
to locate the error..

I have GREAT sound on the pickup on full volume.. maybe even better
than before.. could be because of the better wiring?! i dont know..
But when I turn the volume down a lot more noise comes on.. and when
it's completely down I can still hear the strings through the loud
noise..
Also, the circuit board does it startup routing just fine, but nothing
happens when trying to tune.. i reckon it's because of the wiring..

My logic tells me that because of the added noise when turning the
volume down, it could be that my hot wire on the pot is accidentally
touching the ground on the pot?! Like I said I dont have much space in
the cavity so I cannot rule this one out..

On the circuit board not working I am guessing my guitar signal isn't
being sent there, which leads me to believe it might have something to
do with pin 1 or 6..

Any help would be grateful..

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

It sounds like you may have the input and output wires reversed.  The input or hot lead has to go to pin 5 and the output that goes to your jack has to go to lug "M" or the center loom on the pot.  Give this a try and let me know how it goes.
