Sprout the Planet: A Benefit for Yisrael Family Farm
Davis, CA - February13th, 2018 - N Street Music hosts The David Jacobin Band, The Gold Souls and Ideateam on Saturday March 10th. David will perform his songs of social consciousness in support of his debut EP "Rose Moon" and will use the opportunity to support Yisrael Family Farms. Sacramento dance favorites The Gold Souls and Ideateam add to the party with funk and soul. Rather than soak up the spotlight of his debut CD release, David would rather support great local music and build community. Chanowk and Judith Yisrael have created a family farm in Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood. For the better part of ten years they have built growing grounds in what many previously called a "food desert". The low number of grocery stores in the area and lack of good food lead the family to urban farming which currently supports 45% of the family's diet. Chanowk's vision of self-sustainment has set a goal of becoming 100% farm-to-fork, not just for his family but for the whole neighborhood through farming education.

An evening with Tom Brosseau and Shelley Short
This February and March, Tom Brosseau will be hitting the road with singer-songwriter Shelley Short. Seattle to San Diego with some great stops in between. Tom will be performing new compositions for a new record he’ll be recording later in the year. Neat items at the merchandise booth include club Tom Brosseau tee shirts, Posthumous Success vinyl, and limited edition screen print tour posters. Audiences can expect a great evening of song and story.
